- Chris Harris (Sydney politician) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Non notable politician, does not meet WP:BIO for politicians. The one reference used to support the article is not independent of the subject. Wikipedia is not the place for a campaign pitch. Mattinbgn\talk 04:41, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Article requires a lot of additional content, and may currently have air of self-promotion, but I think subject does meet WP:BIO for politicians viz. "Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage. Generally speaking, mayors are likely to meet this criterion, as are members of the main citywide government or council of a major metropolitan city." Harris IS a member of a council of a major metropolitan city; also he has been the subject of substantial press coverage. Murtoa (talk) 07:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Have since added content and references and attempted to improve NPOV. Murtoa (talk) 07:43, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Doesn't entirely apply by the way - with the exception of Brisbane, most Australian city councils bearing the name of a large city govern a very small number of people and area, but have strategic importance because they contain most or all of the central business district. Leichhardt, Randwick, Woollahra and Marrickville are all inner suburbs with entirely separate councils. So it's not by any means citywide or metropolitan. - Keep. Sufficently notable, decent potential for expansion. Rebecca (talk) 08:05, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Per the sources added to the article which establish his notability per WP:BIO due to significant coverage in reliable sources. Davewild (talk) 15:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - a stub but well sourced. Also suggest a move to Chris Harris (Australian politician) --T-rex 17:20, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, meets the relevant notability guideline, and is well sourced given its size. Agree with the move suggestion by User:T-rex above though. Lankiveil (speak to me) 06:21, 21 June 2008 (UTC).[reply]
- Keep - meets notability criteria, I believe he is frequently quoted in the media about development issues, etc as well and we may be able to find more sources on his views on particular issues. I agree with T-rex's move suggestion as well. JRG (talk) 12:55, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Good candidate for expansion. Seems to meet WP:N. Five Years 06:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep An unusual one in that he does not meet the general criteria for notability but does meet specific criteria as an individual. Orderinchaos 16:55, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
