Article was created by sockpuppet account Unclebert11 in 2010. Links have rotted and I have tried to find other sources, but there is no reliable sources to reference. Little to no content. This was the first manager of Southampton in 1894, but other than that, there is no other information about him. Fats40boy11 (talk) 11:17, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- I’d be happy to keep the article if there was reliable material to work with but seeing as there is little information on Knight, I’m not sure it’s possible to keep, also seeing how little it has been edited in the past 12 years. Fats40boy11 (talk) 11:25, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

- Redirect to List of Southampton F.C. managers as possible search term. There's probably stuff out there in books/newspapers, but if it's not with us, we can't keep articles. GiantSnowman 20:09, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect to List of Southampton F.C. managers, as per GS. Unless of course people find coverage that passes WP:GNG, which I don't imagine will happen anytime soon. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:55, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect as above as plausible search term -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:00, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect as above as plausible search term. I tried searching for sources but came up blank. Southampton at the time was joining the Southern Football League as a last minute replacement, so its quite possible sources are lacking for this beginning. It's also interesting the list article says he was " Secretary of the committee that chose the team", which is a little bit different than a modern manager.--Mvqr (talk) 15:15, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Mvqr: - the job title of manager simply did not exist in that era, but modern sources generally regard club secretaries as having held the same role..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:21, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
