Canadian Dream[edit]
AfDs for this article:
- Canadian Dream (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Movie made by someone without an article here, and doesn't have any notable actors. Also unsourced, and most likely a vanity page (it appears unrelated to the Canadian Dream page that was AfDed before). The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 15:02, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - obvious advertisement for non-notable, possibly non-existent film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orangemike (talk • contribs)
- Delete supposed movie not on IMDB. Possible hoax / WP:MADEUP. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 16:31, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I declined the prod as it didn't sound like the prodder had followed wp:Before. I looked at the previously deleted article to see if a G4 was merited and it is indeed a completely different subject of the same name. I've googled this and found the production company, so I doubt it is a hoax but I didn't find anything I could add as a reference. Unless someone has access to whatever magazines cover upcoming and new films then I suppose it had better go (I've made a limited attempt at sourcing, but only really enough to establish it is neither a hoax nor hugely notable). - I actually did check- not as thoroughly as I usually do before PRODding something due to my painfully slow connection at the time, but I did check the usual IMDB-type sources- and I came up with nothing more than you did, hence my initial PROD and now the AfD. - Thanks, it was the prod rationale of "Movie made by someone without an article" that left me jumping to conclusions. If you'd prodded it with a rationale such as "I haven't been able to source it" then I wouldn't have intervened. ϢereSpielChequers 00:30, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Yeah, sorry about that; I was in a bit of a rush IRL and I didn't think it all the way through. My bad. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 00:42, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. I was about to prod this myself after (a) indef-blocking the article's creator, (b) not finding a suitable CSD category, and (c) not finding online coverage that would meet WP:N criteria. To me, this seemed like an obvious speedy deletion candidate but we have no CSD criteria for creative works. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:12, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:TOOSOON. While is appears the film may exist,[1] it has no verifiability or coverage in RS and thus fails WP:NF. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 20:14, 15 February 2011 (UTC)(struck my delete, as we have an editor willing to do some work on it. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q.)[reply]
- Userfy without prejudice to :User:Anarchangel/Canadian Dream for work in userspace. Current article has problems in format and lack of sources. I am willing to assist in improving it for a return to mainspace. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:46, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Stop, please. Your assessments have all been incorrect; the correct thing would be to strike, retract, or change your vote. Google Search immediately reveals this to be widely covered. Strangely, there is much more information available about the film and its producer than its director. So in this respect, the nomination's basis is understandable, if not correct. However, the film is the actual subject of the article, and it most certainly has received wide attention. The producer is a veteran Bollywood figure who entered the industry as a composer of film scores.
