Burp suite[edit]

Burp suite (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log · Stats)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

This software application seems to be of questionable notability. It was originally transwikied from the Dutch Wikipedia back in 2012, and has been tagged as possibly not meeting WP:GNG since March 2015. Extant citations are to the company's webpage and to a generic list of software. A Google search mostly turned up the product webpages and links to this article; the only independent sources I could find seemed to mention the software only in passing as part of a specific Facebook hacking incident.

Note that I became aware of this article after it was brought to my attention by a WP:COI editor as part of a complaint regarding my speedy deletion (per WP:CSD#G11) of his/her article on a competing product. Grondemar 06:00, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have encountered this software package various times in the literature on pentesting and ethical hacking, that is why I think having a wikipedia article on it is justified. Carol (Talk) 06:10, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Carol Fenijn: Could you add those sources to the article, then? Grondemar 06:24, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
