- Keep. Brandon Massey easily meets Wikipedia notability for creative professionals. He and his books have been covered or mentioned a large number of times in the media such as in NorthJersey.com, Black Issues Book Review (the article is in the Wikipedia Library), Essence (see Wikipedia Library), Black Enterprise (again see Wikipedia Library), Publishers Weekly (article 1 and 2), this New York Times article, Time Magazine (see Wikipedia Library), and interviewed in Strange Horizons (link) and Apex Magazine (link). Then there are the book reviews, including a starred review in Publishers Weekly along with more PW reviews (see 1 and 2 but there are more), reviews in Library Journal (see Wikipedia Library to read), and multiple reviews in Midwest Book Review (see 1, 2, 3, but there are more). Plus his work has also been covered and discussed in academic books such as The Paradox of Blackness in African American Vampire Fiction by Rafiki Jenkins, released in 2019 by Ohio State University Press, and academic journals such as African American Gothic, Studies in the Novel, American Literary History, Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts, and more. And all of that barely scratches the surface of what's out there. Yes, the article needs to be improved but Massey meets notability guidelines.--SouthernNights (talk) 14:02, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- Keep Seconding the reasons listed above. Massey is an important author in his literary genre. If this article needs to be edited to reflect that more, let's do that. Deleting is not warranted here. --Charlottebyrd (talk) 16:05, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
