The result was Deleted. This is a bizarre case, as there appear to have been duplicate debates here and at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BenRudnick. Note the space in this debate's name that is lacking in the other. Both noms took place on the same day, so it is appears to be an inadvertant duplication (as opposed to a second debate following DRV or some such circumstance). The article was deleted on 13 November after the other debate was closed. Accordingly, I am closing this debate as a non-admin closure. I will note the duplicate debate on the other AfD as well. Mr. Rudnick has NOT been the subject of 1)A credible independent biography 2) Widespread coverage over time in the media 3) Demonstrable wide name recognition from reliable sources 4) n depth, independent, coverage in multiple publications showing a widely recognized contribution to the enduring historical record in the person's specific field. And this is just the start Thisarticleisundueandneedbeerased 23:48, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Weak delete - might meet WP:MUSIC, barely, but only barely. Needs a rewrite at the least! Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 01:24, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Right, it could work under WP:MUSIC guidelines. "Could" being the key word. I agree with a "weak delete" so long as it's contingent on a rewrite. I'm very very tempted to just erase the part about him not fitting in at Vanderbilt. The only reason I don't is because I hate to take anything away from the kid for the very reason that he's having a tough time fitting in at school. Maybe that's what they wanted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thisarticleisundueandneedbeerased (talk • contribs) 01:35, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- To be frank: Who cares what the kid wants? it's a Wikipedia article on him, not a comfort blanket. Scour it as you see fit. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 03:42, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
