Butterbur is a minor character in The Lord of the Rings. His main function in the plot is forgetting to deliver a letter. His part in the story is adequately explained in The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King. There is further information about him at Bree (Middle-earth) and Minor places in Middle-earth#The Prancing Pony. Yes, the article does give some information about his name, but, given that he is a minor character, this is trivial. There is no reason for this article to exist. Note: I have moved information about the inn from "Minor places" to the "Bree" article.--Jack Upland (talk) 06:59, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think he can be covered by the Bree (Middle-earth) article, which describes his inn. We really don't need an article about him.--Jack Upland (talk) 09:20, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Goustien, that list is a list of articles. I don't see how we can redirect there.--Jack Upland (talk) 00:51, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
