The result was redirect to Kent State shootings. A bit WP:BOLD here, but I believe this is better than dragging this out for another week. Kurykh (talk) 02:15, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Classic case of WP:ONEEVENT - this person was injured in the Kent State shootings and is otherwise non-notable. Article is almost entirely about Kent State Shootings, not about Canfora. Adpete (talk) 11:41, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete does not rise to more than one event notability.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:19, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment from nominator: on reflection, it might be better turning it into a redirect to Kent State shootings. Canfora still occasionally turns up in news articles about the shootings (as can be seen by clicking "news" above). But I still don't see anything independently notable about him to warrant a separate article. I guess no special action is required for that - I'd just maybe withdraw the nomination and turn it into a redirect Adpete. (talk) 05:39, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: Further discussion should indicate whether redirection to Kent State shootings is warranted.

  • Redirect (nominator). Canfora is in quite a few mainstream news items on the shooting, e.g. USA Today, Huffington Post, New York Times, BBC. As I said above, my assessment is he's not independently notable (and there's almost nothing to say about him except in relation to the shootings), but he seems to do a lot of work commemorating the event. e.g. this book [1] says, "Alan Canfora was the most active of the survivors of the Kent State shootings". So a redirect seems appropriate to me. Adpete (talk) 03:15, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
