While this was exciting while the manhunt was going on, the suspect killed himself on 10 May and the story is over. It does not qualify under WP:EVENT as receiving significant, non-routine coverage with national or global scope that persists over a period of time. Yoninah (talk) 09:12, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep - he was one of FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives which in my opinion is notable beyond ONEEVENT. --BabbaQ (talk) 09:21, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Notible criminal figure, should be kept as it is not out of date Mdann52 (talk) 10:12, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep (note, I'm the article creator), Sheesh, you think a guy being on the ten most wanted list would keep him safe from deletion. I'm not quite sure if Wikipedia:WikiProject FBI has specifically addressed this, but I would assume anyone on the ten most wanted list is notable merely by being on the list - even this guy, who was only on it for one day. - Comment - The fact that he was added to the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list does not necessarily make him notable. By referencing the article FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, 2000s, you'll notice out of all the criminals listed, there are quite a few that do not have their own page. - Comment Would it be better to retitle this article to focus more on the murders and kidnappings? I know that in most crimes the pages are titled after the people who have died or the people who have been kidnapped, with the perpetrator(s) really only getting an article for themselves when they achieve notability outside of the crime.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 12:39, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I would accept this, except for the "10 Most Wanted" list. That his stay was short (he would have probably stayed in view longer had he not committed suicide) makes him no less notable. That some 'notable' people have no pages dedicated to them is no argument that people 'less' notable need be excluded -- even if the "notability" is for infamy. He may have had one of the shortest stays on the Ten Most Wanted List, and that would itself be of lasting interest.Pbrower2a (talk) 13:03, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Article does have significant coverage in more than one secondary verified source to satisfy WP:GNG ZachFoutre (talk) 13:28, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]- Struck per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Birmingham Blue Coat School. Uncle G (talk) 14:46, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Significant criminal figure and added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted fugitives, received a lot of media coverage from numerous sources and it is likely that more media attention will continue due to the nature of the crime and the arrests of his wife and mother. Additionally there are numerous articles on Wikipedia or less notable individuals and a former 10 most wanted fugitive should have his own page, despite the fact that not all of them do, they all should as they are a part of criminal history, maybe past Ten Most Wanted Fugitives should also have pages created, and again due to the nature of the crimes I believe it does have encyclopedic value. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.177.69.253 (talk) 13:46, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree with Tokyogirl79 that if we keep the page, it should be redirected to 2012 Bain murders and kidnapping or something similar. The murder and kidnapping charges against Teresa Mayes and Mary Frances Mayes are ongoing, and a section of the article would include information about Adam Mayes being on the FBI Top Ten Fugitives list. - Keep we're not a newspaper; if the original incident was notable, it remains so. But I think that it might be better to use a title referring to the incident itself. DGG ( talk ) 23:45, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep -- sufficiently satisifies WP:NOTABILITY and WP:GNG. Quis separabit? 17:19, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep -- Anytime a subject makes the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, it is generally acceptable to have an article on them and the event that qualified them for the status. Coolgamer (talk) 01:13, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep it. For sure, it's a noteworthy case. Let's be sure it's properly moved to 2012 Bain murder-kidnappings per Yoninah and that appropriate changes are made to include both the case relevance and the deceased suspect. I'm still not convinced that a suspect making the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list automatically places them into a category deeming them "generally acceptable" of their own namesake article.
