Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTY. I previously tried to PROD it but JetCity22 removed the prod tag without giving any reason. Masum Reza📞 02:53, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have struck the above listing as Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Football does not deal with American football, but rather soccer. I have listed it in the appropriate place (note below my !vote). Thanks. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 04:34, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Masumrezarock100: Just a heads up, this is American football, not football football. SportingFlyer T·C 04:01, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong keep. The article has nothing to do with WP:NFOOTY as the article is (1) not about a specific player and (2) not about association football (soccer), but rather college football. As for GNG, Wikipedia has individual season articles for every NCAA FCS team (one of which being Southern Utah) dating back to at least 2011, and there is absolutely no reason to single this particular team's season for this particular year for deletion. The team, though there is still about two months until the season starts, has received coverage in secondary (not directly related to the team) sources, for example: (1) Schedule on ESPN, (2) Recruits and commits on 24/7, and (3) Schedule on FBSchedules. Additionally, ESPN (independent, reliable source) will publish statistics and a recap for every game; while these are not present yet (as games have not been played), they will be published as the season progresses (here's some examples from the 2018 season: 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc.) Other sports websites will also publish recaps and summaries, as well as local sources both online and in print. Finally, the notability guidelines laid out by WikiProject College football regarding single season articles (found at WP:CFBSEASON) says As long as the sourcing is not solely from the team website, and local routine articles on regular season games, Why not?...Content should be of high quality, and be well documented by sources independent of the sport and school. All of the examples from 2018 are from the Associated Press, which is not a football-specific source, nor is specific to Southern Utah University.
