About[edit]Jordan McGraw (born October 21st, 1986) is the son of television psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw and wife Robin. His brother is Jay McGraw. Jordan is fairly well known in the social scene of Los Angeles and can be seen frequenting the clubs in the area. Jordan is, according to his father's show, a very talented musician on the rise. Jordan can be seen in few episodes of his father's show. There has been some mystery to his personality as fans of the show see him as funny and light hearted while may shots of him on red carpets show him to be very serious. Doug and Deacon come home from work. Deacon mentions a test at IPs that can help move up in the company. Doug says it is stupid. Deacon goes home to study. Carrie is mad at Doug for not trying. Carrie tells Doug how she has never seen him try for anything in life. He explains that he once tried to become a bartender. He flashes back to 1989. He was working as a bouncer for a nightclub. He really wanted to be a bartender ever since Cocktail came out. One night the current bartender is sick and Doug gets his chance. He fails horribly. Carrie understands. The next days Doug has good news, he signed up for bartending school. Carrie is mad because she thought he would take the test.

In many instances, he has used his extensive wine knowledge to contribute in tastings for charity events. His restaurant L'Aberge De France was quite innovative in 1990. Many articles in Litchfield County in CT have referred to the exquisite food. Also voted best restaurant in Litchfield County. Biography[edit]Although Birch himself claimed to have been born in New York, detective Edward Bonney alleged that Birch's father stated that Robert had been born in North Carolina. He had moved with his father and his two brothers to Illinois as a child. He became involved in crime as a teenager, being described by Bonney as "suspected of robbery and even of murder ever since he had attained the age of fifteen", and was considered a longtime member of the so-called Banditti of the Prairie. He was alleged by James Tevis of being involved in the torture and murder of George Davenport at his home on July 4, 1845. He was one of several members later identified by Edward Bonney who had infiltrated the gang as a counterfeiter. Birch was soon apprehended, in part to information from Bonney, and he soon agreed to testify against the others in exchange for a reduced sentence. Granville Young and brothers John and Aaron Long were later executed for the murder. After several court delays, Bitch escaped from prison in Knoxville, Illinois on March 22, 1847. Disappearing into the frontier of the Midwest United States, he resurfaced almost a decade later as an associate of Jacob Snively, founder of the Arizona Territory's first boom town Gila City, and became the first postmaster on December 24, 1858. Two years later, Birch followed Snively and James W. Hicks to the New Mexico Territory where they discovered gold deposits on Bear Creek. A mining camp soon sprang up around the claim, on the site of what is today the ghost town of Pinos Altos, and was originally named Birchville in his honor. When the Confederate Army invaded New Mexico at the start of the American Civil War, Birch volunteered for the Arizona Rangers. He initially served with Company A under 2nd Lieutenant James Tevis however, according to Tevis, Birch asked to be transferred to Colonel John Ford at the Rio Grande. Sources[edit]There were three main causes of the Terror. One was war. Neighboring countries feared that the revolution would spread and declared war on france and by march 1793 France was a war with many powerful countries which put it in a very dangerous positon. Another was Rebellion. The people didnt like the way the king used his money for himself and for his family rather than his country. In paris peasants took weapons and gunpowder and attacked the Bastille, one of the most feared and hated buildings in france. The result was the destruction of the Bastile and the death of its govenor. The third was a sotage of food. In the early months of 1793 the price of food began to rise and the poorer people such as peasants complained that they couldn't even afford bread to feed their families. Guillaume Le Testu, also called Tetu, (c. 1509 or 1512-April 29, 1573) was a 16th century French corsair, explorer and navigator during the Elizabethan age. A successful privateer during the early years of the French Wars of Religion, he and Sir Frances Drake attacked a Spanish mule train escorting gold and silver to Nombre de Dios in 1573 and was subsequently killed following his capture by the Spanish. He was one of the foremost cartographers of his time, being one of the last students to be taught at Dieppe, and is one the authors of the Dieppe maps. Many of his maps are distinguished by a high degree of sophistication and extensive detail, his work later influencing future generations of navigators and explorers over the course of the next century. His work was also used by Admiral Gaspard de Coligny and French Huguenots to establish themselves in Brazil, Florida and much the Caribbean, however these attempts were abandoned following de Coligny's murder in 1672 and Le Testu's own death the following year. [3] Le Testu was also one of the first to introduce the theory of a large southern continent known as Jave le Grande, located southward of the Moluccas as seen in his earliest work, and is now generally accepted to be the earliest known navigator to discover Australia. This had been long claimed by French scholars, largely based on a 1655 map with his signature and the outline of Jave le Grande. Critics have previously argued that Le Testu may have simply heard of the continent from others and used it in his own work, [4] however earlier maps from 1536 and 1542 have since been discovered in the British Museum and the Department of the Marine confirming these to be based on his earliest voyage to the Spice Islands in 1531. His Cosmographie Universelle (1555) and world atlas (1556) are both in the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. [5] Early life[edit]Guillaume le Testu was born in Le Havre, Normandy or Grasse, Provencal sometime around 1509. He later studied cartography at the famed school of Dieppe and later left on a series of exploration missions throughout the world. During one of his early voyages from Marseilles, he was one of the earliest to chart what is thought to be the coast of Western Australia in 1530 or 1531. He may have been the first Frenchman to discover the island continent based on separate charts he drew in 1536 [6] and 1542; the latter being discovered in the British Museum by a R.H. Major in 1877. [7] In these charts, Guillaume depicted the inhabitants and wildlife by drawings of unicorns and other legendary beasts. [8] Curiously, the swan-like creatures and flightless birds also appearing on the continent have been compared to the black swan and the cassowary found in Australia and parts of the East Indies. [9] He was known to often use such imagery in his work showing the African continent populated with snakes 700 feet long, as well as basilisks, satyrs and other creatures such as the "Blemmyae", men with no heads, and the "Cynocephalics", or dog-heads. [10] Explorer and privateer[edit]In 1550, he was commissioned by King Henri II to create a map of the Americas, particularly where the French were trading. In June 1551, he sailed to Brazil on both an exploration and reconnaissance mission from Henri II charting as far as the Rio de la Plata. His ship, the Salamandre, reached as far south as 26 latitude a fair distance past present-day Rio de Janeiro. In late-December, he became involved in a fight with two Portuguese ships near Trinidad and sustained heavy damage to his ship although he was successful in mapping out much of the South American coastline by the time of his return to Dieppe in July 1552. [11] He was later involved in the founding of a Dutch colony near Rio de Janeiro in 1555 and, the following year, was appointed a royal pilot upon presenting to Henry II an atlas of the world containing 56 maps he had personally drawn by hand on his previous expeditions. [12] This atlas was dedicated to his mentor and patron Admiral Gaspard de Coligny, who had become leader of the Huguenots only three years earlier. This manuscript was pieced together using a collection of charts from French, Spanish and Portuguese sources supplied by Coligny. Included in this atlas was a southern continent which, at the time, had yet to be discovered. He explained his theory commenting,
The next several years saw the outbreak of civil war between the Huguenots and Calvinists and, in 1567, Le Testu sided with the Protestant Huguenots conducting privateering raids for two years before his capture by the Catholic Calvinists. He would remain imprisoned for over four years until he was released by order of King Charles IX due to public interest on his behalf. Raid on Nombre de Dios and death[edit]On March 23, 1673, Le Testu unexpectedly encountered Sir Frances Drake near Cabo de Cativas in Panama. He was in command of the 80-ton warship Havre (or the New Haven) with a crew 70 men and, although it is unknown what le Testu's mission in the area was, he may have been their under Italian sponsorship. [14] He reportedly presented to Drake a scimitar, formerly belonging to the Condottiere Piero Strozzi, as a gift on behalf of Coligny. [15] It was during this meeting, having brought news of the Massacre of St. Bartholomew, that he offered to join Drake in a final raid against a Spanish mule train en route to Nombre de Dios before leaving the area. He and Drake sailed their combined fleet to the Rio Francisco, Le Testu and Drake landed with their men just east of Nombre de Dios. Le Testu had 20 men under his command while Drake himself led 15 men and a number of his Cimarron allies. As their ships sailed off, with orders to return for them in four days, the party headed inland to a spot two leagues south of the city, arriving on April 29, where they awaited the Spanish mule train. It was soon after their arrival that the party heard bells in the distance signaling the arrival of the caravan. Cimarrons scouts also warned of their approach reporting the size of the caravan consisting of almost 200 mules each carrying up to three hundred pounds of treasure. Drake had chosen the spot for the ambush, believing the Spaniards to be at their most vulnerable as they were nearing their destination after traveling through miles of jungle, to take the mule train off guard in a surprise attack. They drove off the Spanish guards, although at a cost of several of Cimarron and Frenchmen. [16] The attack was a complete success with nearly 30 tons of gold and silver being discovered by Drake and Le Testu. Between 80,000-100,000 pesos in gold were taken the privateers and, in fact, there was so much treasure that the privateers were unable carry all the silver off and buried what remained. Le Testu's share came to £20,000. He was seriously wounded during the first assault however, choosing to rest until he was able to travel, and was left on the road with two of his men staying behind with him. As the rest of the party continued to meet the scheduled rendezvous with their fleet, they discovered a Spanish fleet waiting for them instead. Drake was forced to construct a raft and sail out to an island roughly three leagues offshore where he contacted his own ships from there. Safely aboard with his crew once more, he sent a rescue party back for La Testu. When his men finally came back, they reported that Le Testu and his men had been caught by Spanish soldiers and executed. One of the men had been tortured to recover most of the buried silver before he to was killed. The French privateer was beheaded [17] and his head taken back to Nombre de Dios where it was later displayed in the marketplace. Drake's men had managed to find some silver which had been missed which they brought back to split between the English and French crews before sailing back for Europe. He is a controversial figure within Scottish football and business circles, having rescued Livingston from administration in 2004 with the express intention of running it as a profitable business having no previous affinity with the club. As Chairman, Flynn has been at the centre of the landmark court case of Manu Dorado, resulting in the SFA fining the club and banning Livingston from player transfers[19] Early Career[edit]Born in Cork, Flynn obtained degrees in Applied Physics from Cork University and in Digital Systems from Limerick University. His early career saw him working for a number of years at Wang Labs in Scotland, where he was Production Manager. Flynn then spent 11 years at Compaq where he held a number of management positions, before being appointed General Manager EMEA of Newbridge Networks in 1999[21] Executive to Owner[edit]Flynn then embarked on a second career as an entrepreneur. He purchased Glasgow based call centre company Callpoint Europe, convinced that he could buck the trend of moving call centres offshore.[25] However later that year following the loss of a court case into non-payment of rent, Flynn put Callpoint into liquidation, restarting his investment as Contact4U Ltd.[26] Located in offices at Glasgow Airport, the new company quickly won contracts with companies such as Talk Talk and Scottish Power. 'When you look at what is happening in the world it is unbelievable that someone can refer to a sporting matter and call someone a terrorist. Flynn is lying to the supporters. He says he offered me £30,000: the true figure was £3,000, which was disrespectful. It is typical of his bullshit.'[27] In March 2007 Flynn sold his 4.44% share of Celtic FC announcing a further £750,000 investment in Livingston. He committed his future to the club and reiterated his desire to see them once again in the SPL.[28] In January 2008 Flynn’s company and club sponsor Smarter Loan Ltd were forced into liquidation, quickly followed by Contact4U Ltd. The closures led to widespread criticism from employees that they had been laid off with as little as ten minutes notice and hundreds of thousands of pounds of unpaid salary.[29] Irish development agency Udaras also expressed concern and demanded repayment of £2M of grant aid that had been invested in the companies.[30]

Apricot is a project for creating a game and a workflow for game development using only open source tools, such as Blender. Project Apricot[edit]After Orange and Peach Blender Institute continues with a new open project: Apricot. This time it isn’t a movie but a 3D game! Starting february 1st 2008, a small team of 3D artist and developers will develop a game jointly with the on-line community. The main characters in the game are based on the short 3D animation open movie Peach. At the end of July 2008 the game will be launched. The team members will get a great studio facility and housing in Amsterdam, all travel costs reimbursed, and a fee sufficient to cover all expenses during the period. The Game The team will work on a cross platform game (at least Linux, Windows, OS X), using Blender for modeling and animation, Crystal Space as 3D engine and delivery platform, and Python for some magic scripting to glue things together. It is not only the purpose to make a compelling 3D game experience, but especially to improve and validate the open source 3D game creation pipeline, with industry-standard conditions. At this moment we only know that the game characters are funny and furry, and the game environment is outdoors in a field and forest. Once the team is together - february 2008 - they will define the game concept and game design. Targets
How[edit]The Blender Foundation and Crystal Space community will be the main financiers for Apricot. Additional support will be by Grupo Ikusnet and the Dutch Game Days Foundation. Subsidy funds or other concerned sponsors are being sought as well. As for the previous open movies, a pre-sale campaign to purchase the DVD set in advance will be organized by the Blender Foundation as well as by Crystal Space. After the great success of Peach, Apricot will be the second Open Project hosted by the Blender Institute in Amsterdam. MD Sorwell (b. Michael David Sorwell March 23, 1944) is an American visual artist, photographer, author and musician. He is associated with the beginnings of conceptual art and relational aesthetics. His refusal to show in commercial galleries and document any of his works has given his life and practice a sense of mystery. Life and Art Practice[edit]Sorwell grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada studying photography and painting. In his early twenties he moved to Los Angeles where he began to reject and painting and would embrace a conceptual oriented practice with photography, similar to other artists in the area. In the late seventies he stopped using photography altogether, and began doing performances which he would strictly not allow to be documented or put into books. His art, as he is quoted as saying, "Is strictly about the immediate moment, it must not exist after the fact in anyway whatsoever."[31] Sorwell's work were called the "creation of moments" in which everyone was an equal participant, and there was no boundary between artist and audience. In one performance in 1974 at the Nova Scotia School of Art and Design Sorwell and the audience ate ice cream at the opening. For the duration of the exhibition free ice cream was available for any visitors of the gallery, with the only rule that the ice cream must be eaten in the gallery. In another show in Los Angeles in 1975, Sorwell personally led walks from the gallery to the beach to watch the sunset. The term Relational Aesthetics has recently become a popular way to describe Sorwell's works. Because of Sorwell's refusal to document his works, or to have to put into books, much of his work is only accessible through reviews and personal accounts. "Outside of the moment, my work will only exist in the memory of those who experienced it," he is noted to having said.[32]
New York Incident[edit]In 1982 Sorwell was asked to do a show in Central Park in Manhattan, New York. He accepted the offer by the non-profit space. This was his first big performance in a public space. The piece, called "500 people clapping," was to consist of 500 people gathered in closely together clapping. The clapping was to occur for 20 minutes. Sorwell adamantly stated that no one may take photographs. Appealing to his request, the gallery made sure that no one had brought cameras. However, since it was in a public space, tourists and passerbyers with cameras began to photograph the event. Apparently, Sorwell, in an angry fit, no more than 3 minutes into the clapping, ran around the crowd and tried to people to stop clapping. Because there were so many people, his efforts were futile. According to several witnesses, he then ran out of the crowd and physically struck some of the people who were photographing the event. Sorwell was then arrested by the NYPD and released later that evening.[33] Because of his connection with the art-world, he made sure that none of the major publications mentioned the event. However, it did find it's way into local New York newspapers such as the NY Times and the Village Voice.
Disappearance[edit]After the New York Incident Sorwell refused to make any more public art-works. In an oen-letter to the Whitney Museum of American Art, he wrote, "I will continue to live my life in my own moments, alone, as my own art-work only experienced by my own self."[34] It was rumored that he moved back to his hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hilary played Ann Hammond in the very popular BBC series The Brothers and then starred in a Swedish TV serial The Ship Owner. She appeared again in the West End in Parent's Day at the Globe Theatre and has also starred in several stage tours including Verdict, The Gentle Hook, My Cousin Rachel, The Owl And The Pussycat, Jetset. Other stage appearances include Getting Married for Triumph Productions, and for the Nottingham Playhouse Mary Stuart and The Way of the World. Hilary also starred in the musicals Company and A Little Night Music (both by Sondheim) and South Pacific. She toured in the lead role of the Francis Durbridge thriller Nightcap then played Miss Hannigan in the musical Annie at the Colchester Mercury Theatre. She has also toured in The Amorous Prawn. starred in the Far East tour of The Man Most Likely To with Leslie Philips, Mrs. Danvers in Rebecca and returned to the West End in the thriller Dangerous Obsession by NJ Crisp at the Fortune Theatre. Hilary’s television appearances include Tales of the Unexpected for Anglia, A Kind of Loving for Granada, The Max Headroom Show for Chrysalis Films for Channel 4. Hilary sadly died of cancer, aged 52, at home in Selborne, Hampshire, in December 1992. She was survived by her husband, theatrical agent Robin Lowe (now also deceased), together with their daughter, Kate, and son, Julian. Seathwaite, Duddon Valley

Seathwaite is a village in the Duddon Valley in the Lake District of Cumbria, North West England. The nearby Seathwaite Tarn (west of the Coniston Fells) takes its name from the village. The village is northeast of Hall Dunnerdale and southwest of the Tarn. It lies along the old Walna Scar road, that can be reached from the A595 in the south or from the steep Hardknott–Wrynose pass road in the north (which in turn is off the A593 from Skelwith Bridge). [35] The name Seathwaite derives from a combination of the old norse words sef (sedges) and thveit (clearing) and may be taken to mean "Sedges clearing". The name, then spelled Seuthwayt, first appeared in written records dating from 1340. [36] [37] A local landmark in Seathwaite is the Newfield Inn, a pub that dates from the sixteenth century that is reputed to have been visited by William Wordsworth on his trips to the Lake district in the early nineteenth century.[35] [38] [39] [40] See also[edit]Sources[edit]References[edit]

Home is definitely center stage for the front man, singer/songwriter/guitarist “Justin Alexander”. As the driving force behind the band, he pours out his soul in each song of his performance. His ability to capture and address the attention of the listener is reminiscent of many legendary artists of the past. He was born in the city of Detroit on August 16, 1988. His parents were performing musicians, so, Justin started cutting his teeth on Rock & Roll from day one. But, by the age of five his parents separated, Justin’s heartaches, hard times and life experiences would become his writing template. Heartache seems to run like water in the streets and the pain expressed in his songs are of a broken home and an attempt to recapture what was lost. “Justin’s” lyrics tell of a path that one has to live to be able to write about. Bassist “Sara Cole” is probably one of the hottest things that you will ever see with four strings and a skirt! But don’t get fooled by the visual appeal, “Sara” is half of the rock solid driving foundation for “Lies unknown”. Passion, Emotion and Precision (PEP) are the only words that define “Sara’”, she is prepared and ready for what ever the moment brings, and she definitely delivers the element of surprise to her audience. As a lead guitarist “Jamie Allen” sets the stage with action, enthusiasm and fire. His approach on stage becomes contagious for anyone watching him perform. “Jamie’s” chops are a compliment to the music of “Lies unknown”. Flavorsome melodic guitar riffs and superb backing vocals are the principal rudiments to any great live act. These undeniable qualities bring his performances to a new echelon. “Joe (Joe Pizzazz) Piazza” drummer for “Lies unknown” has the potential to steal every girl’s heart. Lighting up a stage seems to be effortless as he displays his charismatic persona that magically lures ones imagination. But, the business of performing live differentiates him from any other; he is all about giving an instinctive hard hitting performance.
