Maralina Bennett[edit]Maralina is a teacher in the Silicon Valley area. She has been noted for many accomplishments, including various awards and recognitions. Her students generally say she is the nicest teacher around, although she likes to think she is a "mean" teacher. This is belied by the fact that even students she doesn't have in her classes will come by and spend their lunches with her. Maralina Milazzo[edit]Maralina was married in August, 2007, and took on the last name of her husband. Her students had a hard time adjusting, but eventually they began to come around. Since getting married, Maralina is even nerdier than before, sometimes spending hours reading heavy tomes about how to more effectively teach youngsters. When she is feeling especially nerdy, she even develops new curriculum for her school district so they can teach a whole new generation of nerds! She is especially proud of the work she does with at-risk gang members, sometimes converting them into nerds as well.

Edith Wilkins Street Childrens Foundation - India[edit]

If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there. The Edith Wilkins India Street Children Foundation, was formed in Cork, Ireland, in January 2003, and achieved registered charitable status in March 2003. The aim and mission of the foundation is to provide support and care for street children living under horrendous circumstances. Our primary cincern is the safety and welfare of at risk children, living in especially difficult circumstances. In an effort to escape their original tough situation, many children migrate from the towns and villages to the city, and tend to gravitate along the railway lines in search of work or a better life, only to end up alone and unprotected on the streets, open to physical and emotional abuse of all kinds. On December 2nd 2007, H.E. Mr.Kieran Dowling, The Irish Ambassador to India opened the new EWSCF premises in Darjeeling.
The Problem[edit]The main problem we are dealing with is the huge amount of children living on the streets and sleeping rough in Darjeeling district in Bustees (slums). The root causes of the problem are child trafficking into the area, the closure of local tea-gardens which were a major source of employment in the area, the decline of the local tourist industry, resulting in a further loss of jobs, and an inadequate number of functioning schools in the area. A large number of children are being trafficked across the border and sold for use as sex workers, servants and child labourers or used to smuggle drugs and other goods into the country. These children are taken from their parents never to see them again. There are seven main entry points where the children come across the border and the problem was not being addressed at this side of the border until we started our work here three years ago. The entry points children are coming in from are Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Assam, Bangladesh, Bihar and Sikkim. Every month there are 2000 children sold across the border to India from Nepal alone. We have started a linkage with Maity Nepal, a Nepalese NGO dealing with child trafficking, and we will work together to try and help these children as our base is only 45 minutes from the border. Edith Wilkins[edit]The Edith Wilkins India Street Childrens Foundation was founded in 2003 by an amazing Cork woman who has spent the last 27 years caring for street children in Calcutta and Darjeeling in West Bengal, India. Originally from Cork, Ireland, Edith has spent almost the last 27 years working with street children in West Bengal, mostly in Calcutta and northern Bengal inc Darjeeling and it's surrounding areas. Supported by family and friends she works 16 hour days to make a better life for those she touches. Bryan Hendrickson, the Messiah of the 21st century?[edit]Bryan Hendrickson has been noted in Time magazine, Newsweek, and US News and World report for his philanthropic work and gross intelligence. All magazines make reference to the fact that he may in fact be the next coming of Christ. This fact is only supported by his ownership of the seven horses of the apocolypse. His earliest collaborations were with his guitar playing older brother Paul Ryan, with whom he went on to form Cradle of Filth, along with Paul’s school friend Daniel Davey (a.k.a. Dani Filth) After recording several demos, and a false start with their ‘lost album’ entitled The Goetia, Cradle of Filth made big waves in the 1990s metal scene. Eventually the band signed to Cacophonous records whilst Benjamin was still only 16 years old. After the recording of their third album Dusk and Her Embrace in 1995, both the Ryan brothers and long time band mate Paul Allender left Cradle of Filth and formed cult metal band The Blood Divine. The Blood Divine recorded 2 studio albums and toured extensively for 3 years, building a sizeable and loyal following during the time they were together, but it all came to an end in 1998 and the band split. Benjamin went on to work as a session musician and sound engineer, spending a brief spell working in Yorkshire with former Cradle of Filth guitarist Rishi Mehta. In 2001 Benjamin spent a period as a freelance web developer, but has since returned to working as a musician and sound engineer. Suction Diesel Injection[edit]

This request for creation has been reviewed. The reviewer comments appear below the article text.
Suction Diesel Injection (SDi) is a design of naturally aspirated diesel engine developed by the VAG Group for use in cars and vans. These engines are produced in various sizes (from 1.7 to 2.5 litres) and states of tune, depending on application. The SDi engine is used in applications where reliability and fuel economy are of primary concern. Because these engines lack any form of forced induction, their power output is low compared to a similar turbocharged engine. For example, the 2.0 SDi engine fitted to the mk5 Volkswagen Golf has a peak power output of 74 bhp; whereas the same engine in turbocharged TDI form is rated at 138 or 168 bhp, depending on specification. However, performance at very low engine speeds and when setting off from stationary is often superior to forced induction engines due to the lack of turbo lag. The 1.9 SDi engine, fitted to the first generation Skoda Octavia, is particularly popular amongst taxi drivers due to its low fuel consumption and ability to cover large mileages (250,000+ miles) without requiring major mechanical attention.

Earle Raymond Hedrick (Union City, Indiana, 1876- Los Angeles, California 1943) was an american mathematician and a vice-president of the University of California. After undergraduate work at the University of Michigan, he obtained a Master of Arts from Harvard University. With a Parker fellowship, he went to Europe and obtained his PhD from Göttingen University in Germany under the supervision of David Hilbert in 1901. He then spent several months at the École Normale Supérieure in France, where he became acquainted with Edouard Goursat, Jacques Hadamard, Jules Tannery, Émile Picard and Paul Émile Appell, before becoming an instructor at Yale University. In 1903, he became professor at the University of Missouri. He moved in 1920 to UCLA to become head of the department of mathematics. He became provost and vice-president of the University of California in 1937. He humourly called his appointment The Accident, and told jokingly after this event:. He played in fact a very important role in making of the University of California a leading institution. He retired in 1942. One residence hall of the UCLA campus was named after him in 1963. Research[edit]Earle Raymond Hedrick worked on partial differential equations and on the theory of nonanalytic functions of complex variables. He also did work in applied mathematics, in particular on a generalization of Hooke's law and on transmission of heat in steam boilers. Pedagogical activity[edit]Earle Raymond Hedrick translated in english the Cours d'Analyse of Edouard Goursat providing american students with an up to date (for the beginningof the twentieth century) textbook of analysis. His activity in the Mathematical Association of America and in the National Council of Mathematics Teachers had also an important impact on mathematics education in the United States. He also authored or co-authored various textbooks of mathematics. Administrative activities[edit]Earle Raymond Hedrick was involved in the creation of the Mathematical Association of America and was its first president. The Earle Raymond Hedrick lectures were established by the Mathematical Association in America in his honor. He also served as vice-president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and played an important role at the American Mathematical Society both as president (1929-1930) and as editor of the Bulletin of the Americal Mathematical Society, a role he assumed during 17 years. Professional Societies[edit]Besides the societies where Earl Raymond Hedrick had important adminsitrative activities, he was also member of:
