The hall serves primarily honors students and has unique traditions and a unique hall culture. These are characterized through the use of "Yava-" as a prefix for most things to do with the hall. Examples include 'Yava-Java,' and event with coffee, karaoke, and snacks, traditionally held just before finals start, and 'Yava-preciations,' a system for both giving recognition and commenting on hall issues. Yavapai hall is the rival of Posada San Pedro Hall, another hall on the University of Arizona campus. While both halls are honors halls, a difference in the type of student who chooses to live in each hall has lead to some antagonism between the two. Rooms in Yavapai are not large, and include desks, bunk beds, and shelving built into the room in a manner similar to what might be expected on a ship. Elizabeth "Betsy" Hall was born on November 19, 1970 in Orangeville, Ontario. She was the 6th of 7 children born to Margaret and Gerry Hall. Betsy is life-long resident of the Dufferin-Caledon riding. She attended elementary and secondary school in Orangeville where she was an Ontario scholar, public speaking champion and so politically active from the start that she told her parents at age 10 that what she wanted to be when she grew up was prime minister.
Betsy was courted by several of the most prestigious Bay Street law firms. After being called to the bar in 1997, she practised on Bay Street until she raised enough money to return to “the only place I have ever considered home” to practice law in Dufferin-Caledon and to buy a house there.
Betsy was married to corporate lawyer Jay Maw in February 2006. He is a strong supporter of her candidacy. Angered by the disdain with which the Tories have treated Dufferin-Caledon over the past 15 years, she decided to seek the Liberal nomination and was unopposed. “The Tories dismiss the riding as an unloseable ‘safe seat’ and, as a result, don’t work to ensure that it is a safe and healthy place to live,” she said. “We need a strong voice to speak for Dufferin-Caledon at the decision making table of the next McGuinty government. A Tory opposition member with ‘Safe-Seat Syndrome’ simply will not be able to deliver what the riding deserves. Dufferin-Caledon, you will have my ear and I will be your voice.”

Wills was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and learned a considerable amount of engineering from his father, a railroad mechanic. When Wills was 17, he moved to Detroit, Michigan and began a four-year apprenticeship at the Detroit Lubricator Company. At the same time, he took night courses in metallurgy, chemistry and mechanical engineering. When his apprenticeship was served, he moved on to the Boyer Machine Co. (later the Burroughs Adding Machine Co.), becoming chief engineer in 1901, when he was only 23.[ref 1] The following year, Wills was introduced to Henry Ford and began working on Ford's race cars during the evening. When Ford started his automobile company, Wills went along as chief designer and metallurgist [ref 2]; he hired Peter E. Martin (who would eventually become Ford's right-hand man) in 1903. When Ford planned mass production of cars, Wills saw the importance of lightweight, strong, nickel-chrome vanadium steel to the mass production process. Ford tasked Wills with determining how to produce the necessary quantities of steel. Wills eventually found a mill to produce it, and in 1907 Ford used the alloy in the production of his Model N. Perhaps Wills's best known contribution is to the design on the Model T. Wills is credited with designing the planetary transmission used in the Model T and the detachable cylinder head [ref 3] as well as the calligraphy of the script "Ford" logo that is still in use today. [ref 1] Although Ford and Wills began as great friends (Ford was the best man at Wills's wedding), [ref 2] over time the relationship between the two grew frosty, exacerbated by Charles E. Sorensen's dislike for Wills.[ref 1] In 1919, as Ford began buying out his minority shareholders, Wills demanded an accounting of the profit-sharing he had accrued. Ford had verbally promised Wills 10% of his own dividends, [ref 3] and ultimately provided Wills with a 1.5 million dollar severance package.[ref 1] In addition, Wills had amassed another 4 million from his own shrewd investments in steel firms.[ref 1] With his capital, Wills started his own automobile firm, Wills Sainte Claire, with a factory in Marysville, Michigan, just north of Detroit. The first automobile model, the Grey Goose, debuted in 1921. It was a sensation, but its $3000 cost led to low sales, and the company lost money. Althoug Wills still supported his factory, the company lost money every year, and Wills shut the doors in 1927.[ref 1] Chrysler bought the plant in 1933. [ref2] Wills went on to join Ruxton and eventually worked at Chrysler as a metallurgist before dying of a stroke in 1940.[ref 1] Sources[edit]

Elizabeth "Betsy" Hall is running for a seat as a member of provincial parlaiment in the Ontario October 2007 general provincial election. She is a candidate in the newly formed riding of Dufferin-Caledon. The seat is currently held by PC Leader John Tory who is leaving the riding to run in downtown Toronto. Betsy was born in the riding on November 19, 1970 in Orangeville, Ontario. At 16, she was a founding member of the Dufferin-Peel Young Liberal Association and quickly became a tireless campaign worker in several elections, including the one in 1987 in which Liberal Mavis Wilson pulled off a landslide victory in the riding on her way to becoming the Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues at Queen’s Park. Betsy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa. She won the gold medal there in history and political science. She went on to become an award-winning student at the University of Toronto law school. Betsy was courted by several of the most prestigious Bay Street law firms. After being called to the bar in 1997, she practised on Bay Street until she raised enough money to return to “the only place I have ever considered home” to practice law in Dufferin-Caledon and to buy a house there. In 2005, she answered a call from the Liberals to become senior adviser for the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Later she became senior policy adviser for Attorney General Michael Bryant on a wide range of issues, including family and criminal law. The Turul is probably a large falcon, and the origin of the word is most likely Turkish (togrul or turgul means peregrine falcon). In Hungarian the word sólyom means falcon, and there are three ancient words describing different kinds of falcons: kerecsen (saker), zongor (lives in the male name Zsombor) and turul. The Turul Soccer Club was originally founded in 1958 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada by Miklos “Nick” Springer, a local sports legend. Thousands of boys and girls have worn the Turul jersey since the first year. Many teams have received local, regional and national recognition for their demeanor, discipline and accomplishments. Two notable teams reached the pinnacle of success on the field by winning national titles:
In 1998, Miklos Springer was elected to the Oshawa Sports Hall Of Fame for his contribution to youth soccer. The Oshawa Turul Soccer Club has flourished over the years because of the contribution of many great people, players, coaches and administrators. The Club remains a vibrant and integral part of our community. External links[edit]

Newburgh, NY currently has the largest declared historic discrict in the United States, and is home to an unbelievable array of historic homes and significant landmarks. It was once home to George Washington during the Revolutionary War, and to Andrew Jackson Downing (architect and co-designer for Central Park in NYC, the grounds in the White House, and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, among others). But despite it's historical significance, ideal location on the Hudson River, and proximity to NYC, they city still battles significant infighting and bungled politics. A sum of $180k was mysteriously wire-transferred by the mayor to his friends. Bumper sticker campaigns and underground websites declaring war on the current leadership sprung up, lead by a headstrong group of residents determined to make a change. The film takes place during the 2004 election, and follows the four candidates running for mayor and a group of residents determined to make a change in Newburgh. In the end, it seemed as if those involved were more engaged in "fighting", rather than "fighting for change".

It produced a range of steam and petrol (gasoline) cars between 1901 and 1903 when it ceased trading. One of the last known examples of a Conrad is still in use in the UK and regularly participates in the yearly London to Brighton Veteran Car Run organised by the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain [1] (VCC) The 1903 model Conrad touring car sold for $1,250, and featured a 12-horsepower double cylinder engine in front, with three forward and one reverse gear, and a steering wheel instead of a tiller, which placed 1st in the 4thof July race from Buffalo to NYC Source: - The Western New Yorker - Volume 47, Number 6, June 2000 [2]

As a college graduate, I consider myself somewhat of an intelligent person. I'm married, have a great career, and am usually on top of things. You see, my wife and I own a house we've lived in for the past six years, and although we've outgrown it, we really had trouble letting go. A friend of mine, a realtor, has been on my back about letting him sell our house, as we were transitioning into something bigger. The calls became more frequent, "Dave let me sell your home,we'll only charge you 6% commission instead of the usual market rate". You see my realtor friend, (let's call him Frank)go back a long way, in fact we played soccer together in the third grade, so naturally I felt an obligation to allow Frank to sell my house, we've done each other favors over the years. But something wasn't right. I'm not sure what it was, but I really didn't feel comfortable with Frank selling my house. After many sleepless nights and phone calls from Frank, I realized what was bothering me. Its the damn commission I told my wife after she wouldnt stop probing what the problem was. You see, we bought our home for just over $280,000, and we figure with most homes going around $390,000 on our street, we could easily get that if not well over $400,000 given our oversized lot and the upgrades we've done. 6% commission on a home that sells for $400,000 is $24,000 that would leave my pocket the second I sold my home. That's insane I exclaimed to my wife. We could put that $24,000 in the bank for the kids college fund or treat ourselves to a vacation I thought. I explained my concerns to Frank, and he countered with the services he offered, plus he even offered to drop his commission by half a percent. I balked. That night I did some research online and came across a study done by Northwest University on the advantages of selling your home privately. Upon further research, I came across a company called Homewave.ca After reserching their site, I learned that I could save nearly that entire $24,000 by listing my home on their website. I took their cheaper ad package (came to about $450). They gave me the option to snap my own home pics or have someone come in for no extra charge. I really wasnt expecting alot of response. The monday following that weekend, I started receiving calls from prospective buyers wanting to see my home. Homewave prepared markting brochures for me to hand out to prospective buyers. They also recommended I schedule overlapping appointments in my home to give the image of lots of interest. By Friday that week, we had three solid offers in hand, one of them had too many conditions, so we threw it out. We accepted a counter offer of $440,000 after countering an original offer. using Homewave.ca saved us a ton of cash and allowed us to sell our home ourselves. I called the managing partner of the company, Lec Mroczek, to inform him of my great luck on his site. He told me he's used to getting calls from people using the new service.

Two classmates, Ice (Hansley) and C.J (Farrior) after a freestyle session, decided to make a group that stood out as basically hip hop with a twist. The two began to make simple beats using a keyboard, drums, and two guitars with freestyles. With Southern Problem Child (Polite), Haze (Black) Da Arab Disaster (Hamam) hip hop is ready for a Hall Of The Sleep takeover. " Hip Hop isn't what it used to be. Rappers talk about the high life of fast cars, fast women, and gettin cash fast instead of the struggle, what they rep, etc. With all do respect, thats not our style. We speak of reality through our own music, not samples from other artist. H.O.T.S blends conscious rap with neo-soul and hints of other genres to make a sound, that for lack of better words, is real. We're currently working on our debut EP. Its hard work. We're basically experimenting right now to see what works for us, and of course our fans. It will be at least 13 songs and the release date will be disclosed later. We want connect with our fans so holla at us on Myspace." Sources[edit]68.152.148.186 16:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is crucial as Homewave continues to try to differentiate itself from its competitors. It has since grown its market share in the home sales industry and has introduced a variety of new upgrades for its customers, namely virtual tours. As the housing market cools off, it will be interesting to see how this company does. Some argue it will prosper as more and more home sellers will be reluctant to give up commissions. Some say it won't fare well, as Homewave relies on market volume (real estate transactions) to survive. Being a pioneer in this industry, Homewave has certainly helped revolutionize the real estate market. "Denver High school in iowa has some major problems says Mike Hunt from the iowa commision of high schools. "The social background of Denver High school is terible there are reports of a high number of sexual misconduct of men towards other men and also men towards women. The theft rate is also incredibly high in this school system due to a rising number in students from all different backgrounds. There is also many cases of students vandalizing other schools frequently, drawind large sexual images and defacing others property. This is not in any way a good school" says Mike Hunt. The academic standings in this school are very low and the expectations for this raising is slim to minimal and the homosexual percentage is outstanding compared to any other school district in iowa one study shows.

Ded Bugs are a punk-pop group from DeSoto, Missouri USA. They have released five full-length albums and several other 7" vinyl records since 1996. In 1999, they began working with producer, Mass Giorgini and recorded their two most recent records at Sonic Iguana studios. In 2001, they were awarded the St. Louis Area Music Award ("SLAMMIE") by the Riverfront Times for "Best Punk Band". In 2006, Ded Bugs toured Japan for the first time. Despite interest and offers from record labels, the group remains staunchly independent, releasing all of its material to date on its own IBC Shadows record label. Their albums have received critical acclaim from several national publications, including Razorcake and MaximumRockNRoll. Early Years[edit]Ded Bugs formed circa 1989 by guitarist/vocalist, Jeff Bug (born Jeff Bergeron, Homa, Louisiana) and guitarist/vocalist Matt Bug (born Matt Meyer, DeSoto, Missouri). By 1990, D-A-V-E Bug (born David Midgett, Desoto, Missouri) was recruited as bassist/vocalist. Ded Bugs' first performance was in June 1990. It was a modest beginning. With no drummer, Matt Bug filled-in and took drumming duties. The set consisted of cover songs and was played before several hundred kids at a DeSoto High School graduation party. Soon thereafter, Menace the Dennis (born Dennis Williams, Desoto, Missouri) joined the group and has been the group's main drummer since its inception. The group remained a fun side-project playing cover songs for occassional parties (e.g., the Pinocchio cast party) and local functions (e.g., the Jefferson College "Back To School" Festival) until 1996. Middle Years to Current[edit]In January 1996, Matt Bug left The Finns (nka Finn's Motel) fronted by Joe Thebeau, to concentrate solely on Ded Bugs. Menace the Dennis left the Ded Bugs at this point and eventually joined Thebeau's new project AOK. The remaining three members of Ded Bugs worked on original material (with Matt Bug on drums, once again). The result would be the band's first full-length record, "We Ended Up Having To Eat Each Other" released in August 1996. The album was well-received locally and garnered attention from the St. Louis commercial modern-rock station, KPNT. The song, "Your Stupid Hair" was included on the KPNT release, "Pointessential, Volume 4". This, together with support from other local radio stations, including the community radio station, KDHX provided a springboard for Ded Bugs' local success. In December 1998, Menace the Dennis re-joined Ded Bugs. The band began playing regional shows regularly and were a mainstay on punk-pop bills that included many other popular bands of the genre, including The Queers, Marky Ramone, Groovie Ghoulies and Sloppy Seconds. In July 1999, Ded Bugs released their second album, "sugar-coated SNOT POPS for kidz!". Although still considered a St. Louis area band, the album received critical acclaim from several national publications. Following the album's release, the band continued to play live regularly. It was during this time that the band struck a relationship with established punk-pop producer, Mass Giorgini and began their first recording sessions at Sonic Iguana studios in Lafayette, Indiana. In 2000, Matt Bug took the year off from Ded Bugs to concentrate on filming the documentary "STL 2000". The film chronicled a one-year snapshot of the St. Louis local music scene. The film did not include Ded Bugs, but rather focused on their local peers, such as Ultraman, The Cripplers, Trip Daddys and Not Waving But Drowning. The film also delved into the St. Louis music subculture featuring a wide range of interviews from fans to bands to club owners and to other noteworthy St. Louisans, such as Cathy Bauer (then Co-Owner of Lookout! Records) and Beatle Bob. The film would later be featured at the St. Louis Area Independent Film Festival (SLIFF). Despite the break, Ded Bugs still managed a handful of live shows and released their third full-length record, "...Songs For The Possessed And Insane". In 2001, Ded Bugs released their fourth full-length album, "Planet of Blood". Recorded at Sonic Iguana studios and produced by punk-pop guru, Mass Giorgini, the release brought Ded Bugs to a new level of recognition they had not previously known. Although the album received glowing reviews from national publications such as MaximumRockNRoll and Razorcake and brought interest from record labels, Ded Bugs declined outside offers and instead decided to retain all rights to the recordings and to continue to release the record on their own label, IBC Shadows. In 2001, they were awarded the St. Louis Area Music Award ("SLAMMIE") by the Riverfront Times for "Best Punk Bank". In 2002, Ded Bugs released a 3 X 7" set of their favorite cover songs, "Reader's Indigestion: Volumes I, II and III". Content with the artistic success and strong relationship they had developed with producer, Mass Giorgini during "Planet of Blood", Ded Bugs once again returned to Sonic Iguana in 2003 and enlisted Giorgini to helm their fifth full-length album. "stop and smell the stinking corpse lilies" was released July 2004 and was met with strong, positive national reviews. Sharing live bills with Shonen Knife and Guitar Wolf prompted a Japan tour in early 2006. Ded Bugs continue to write and release their own music independently. Amobee Media Systems, based in San Francisco, CA, was founded in 2005 by CEO Zohar Levkovitz, a mobile industry veteran and former CTO of Comverse. Amobee is a company focused on enabling mobile operators, advertisers and content providers to serve mobile advertisements on mobile devices (mobile phones and PDAs). Mobile advertising is a form of advertising via mobile (wireless) phones or other mobile devices. It is a subset of mobile marketing.
Amobee has been involved in several mobile advertising campaigns in multiple countries and with mobile operators such as Orange France. Brands that have worked with Amobee include Domino’s Pizza, Lenovo, Saab, Lacoste and Coca Cola. In January 2007, as a result of aggregated data from multiple trials with mobile operators in multiple markets using the Amobee media system, Amobee found “that for every person”: • For every consumer who paid for downloaded content, 50 took the “ad-funded” version in return for accepting advertising over their mobile device • Over 50% of users noted the interactive element in the ad • It appears that ad-funding encouraged users who don’t tend to download mobile entertainment to do so (30% of free version users have not downloaded a game in the last 3 months vs. 6% only of those who chose to download the regular price game)

Introduction[edit]Physics is a discipline that is not particularly known for its use of narrative, poetic or drama elements in its methods of instruction. However in recent years, possible under the influence of falling studentnumbers, this is changing. Of course modern authors of contemporary drama have never shied away from using science-related storylines to produce gripping and relevant plays. The play "The Phycisists" by Duerrenmatt is a wellknown example in which ethics and science are the core around which a hypothetical comedy ensues. The focus of Berthold Brecht's "Trial" on Galileo's prosecution by religious authorities is more on the interplay between science and religion as an instiutionalised social force. More recent examples involve plays on the historical background of the development of nuclear weapons, around Robert J. Oppenheimer. In all of these cases however, the authors were not scientists themselves and their work was not specifically directed towards scientists or a particular science community. Drama by Physics[edit]Not all scientists have been happy about these dramatization of elements of science history. Robert Friedman of the University of Oslo warned against dramatizing Science in a Physics World article in 2002. His main objection being that dramatizing an otherwise unknown scientist's life may give the audience a false impression. The lack of fame supporting the further propagation of such erronous views as the audience is effectively not able to check the material of the play against its own knowledge of the historical character. The resolution of this difficulty could lie in encouraging scientists to produce dramatizations themselves, first and foremost the historians of science. The renewed interest in dramatizing science after 1990 was probably ignited by the succes of Michael Frayn's "Copenhagen" on a fictional meeting between Bohr and Heisenberg in 1941. In 2003 Dominic Dickson proposed to include drama, and even karaoke, as tools in a physics curriculum. In march of 2005 the Kavli Institute for theoretical physics co-hosted a conference on "Theorretical Physics in Drama and Narrative". In 2006 Robert Crease of SUNY Stony Brook suggested a possible script for a play on the founders of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics in "Physics World". Yet in practically all published cases the incoporation of Drama into Physics teaching still follows the pattern of selecting the work of a wellknown playwright and adapting that to the setting of a particular educational context, class-size, etc. A new approach by SCI 122[edit]In a physics course taught at University College Utrecht, of Utrecht University in the Netherlands a very different approach has been taken. Here the whole production, ranging from the logistics of rehearsals and performances, all the way up to writing the script is part of a regular physics course. The motivation for this approach is a claim that the actual writing of the script by the students, and the discussions resulting from that, are a fundamental aspect of the learning process. Since 2003, using this approach, plays have been written and performed on Albert Einstein, Ettore Majorana, Robert Oppenheimer, and the french mathematician Evariste Galois. For December 2007 a play on Paul Ehrenfest is under production. Sources[edit]

Styles P is about to drop his third major CD, “Supergangster.” He will also be releasing a street DVD "Gangsta Chronicles “Third album will definitely be out in November,” he told MTV. “I’m taking it there. I’m trying to make my mark as I usually do. Just trying to step it up, being that I’m solo on the independent tip. I’m just trying to work. I had my ups and downs, been through a lot. I’m just continuing to work. I’m glad the people noticed it. I’m just trying to load back up so they could get a feel that the kid is coming. It will definitely be something epic, I’ll say that. ... I strategically made this one. I wanted to make some shis. I’m gonna keep working and put pressure on these boys. I got fyyyy-errrrrr!” He continued. Styles plans to also put out street DVDs with his brand "Gangster Chronicles." “It ain’t gonna be just me,” said Styles. “I’ll have Jim Jones, Busta, Cassidy, Swizz Beatz. I’m giving you the angle. ... We see ‘Smack’ and all these DVDs, but it will be nice for artists to speak to artists on the real street level. It will take us a month and a half to complete.” No official release dates have been given for either projects, Styles will be shooting a “straigt-to-youtube” video for Supergangster next week.
