Armstrong was initiated in 1946, originally called Armstrong County Line Construction, headquartered in Kitanning Pennsylvania. The company was founded by Jud L. Sedwick, and along with his brother Ned it consisted of two crews of six men, setting poles and hanging telephone lines throughout the expanse of Western Pennsylvania. In only one year the company grew to 12 crews. During the 1950's Armstrong began to own/operate independent phone companies throughout the area, and in the 1960's joined the up and coming cable television industry. With the coming of the 1980's Armstrong also entered the security, restaurant, and real estate development industries. Currently, Armstrong Cable is six decades old and employs over 2,000 people nationwide and is an industry leader in most of it's fields of involvement, all the while remaining family owned and operated. The station features Classic Country Music, local news and sports, and a heavy diet of local and area sporting events. KPET is the originating station for all Lamesa High School Basketball and Football. It went on the air in 1947 and was founded by Kermit Ashby (who also started KCAN Canyon TX and KCAS Slaton TX). Until the mid sixties the studios were at the south edge of downtown lamesa on South 1st street. The station studios and tower are southwest of the city, near the municipal golf course. Studios were downtown in the early days and moved to the tower in the 1960s. The call letters stand for PETroleum. There was a sister FM (1977 to 1983) called KCOT for "COTton". That station moved it's operation out of town to a larger metro area in 1983. By then it was known as "KUFO" a station listed in wiki owing to it's ownership by a large group and working in a larger city. KPET has had many owners over the years. The Ashby group sold to the Conner family. Later came the Bradburys, and in 1977 a group headed by Gaylon Gilbert. Gilbert sold to Teller Radio in 1983. The Morgan Dowdy group came next, and a local group took over in 1991. The station airs country music, and news from both ABC radio and the Texas State Network. Frequenct farm broadcasts include syndicated services from Voice of Southwest Agriculture and the KFLP network. Many local sports are aired live, and Texas Rangers Baseball, Dallas Cowboys Football, and Texas Tech Red Raiders sports. The general manager Don Sitton has been with the station since 1991. KPET operates a newsroom that covers the area between Lubbock, Tx to the north and Midland and Odessa, TX to the south. This includes extra coverage of farm and ranch activities in the surround areas and includes Brownfield, TX, Tahoka, TX, and Post, Tx. Special attention is paid to area weather and the road conditions in the nine county area. The station has recieved awards for spot news coverage and for on the scene reportage of weather happenings including live broadcasts of tornados striking the city of Lamesa. Julie Ann Lanz, maiden name Lewis, (born February 28, 1978)in Fairfax, Virginia Born completely profoundly deaf in both ears, Julie overcame strong odds by being able to write and speak well. Julie Ann is one of the first to learn Cued Speech by Orin R. Cornett, developer of Cued Speech. She went to Osbourn High School in Manassas,VA as the only deaf student in the whole school and graduated in 1996. Recently, August 2007, Julie Ann got a cochlear implant which is an electronic device implanted in the cochlea of the ear to provide hearing to the deaf. Julie Ann is the first professional Fine Arts Deaf photographer in the nation. She runs a business, "Lanz Family Studios" out of her home in Florida. Julie's writings and photography have been published everywhere, one of them on the front cover of "Periwinkle" by Jude Stringfellow, [3] a best selling author who has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. She has been published by A.G. Bell [4], her works are recognized in references like [5], she is listed in many deaf resources like [6] College students and teachers across the nation have contacted Julie Ann Lanz for interviews and permission to use her photos in their projects and books. They look up to her for inspiration. Julie Ann is the President of "Deaf Professional Photographers of America" [www.deafppa.com] was created by her to help other deaf people find joy in photography and improve their skills. This is the first of its kind in the nation. She is also the first to create a nationwide deaf photo project on what it is like to be deaf. His accomplishments included building the railway links from Manila to Bicol, spanning more than 600 kilometers of railway tracks. Daniel Junas, also known as Dano Junas,(Born January 16, 1962) is a European actor and singer, and a one time European Grammy Award winner. Biography Personal Life Daniel aka Dano Junas was born in Bratislava, Slovakia to mother Helen, an opera singer, and father Daniel a stockbroker who left him before he was born and was raised by his stepfather Jan, a singer and theather director. Daniel sufferd a serious car accident in 1997 and was in coma for 3 weeks and after stayed in the hospital for 2 months. He was in rehabilitation for one year and was after able to walk, run do whatever. He does how ever have serious migranes and headaches which he had to be hospitalized for last year and is now taking serious mediaction for them. He is now married for the third time and has two children Sandra (who was a very popular younger singer) and Daniella who lives with her mom in America. Career He started acting and singing while in his teens. He has had a hit tv show since the year of '84 called Triangel. He has made 8 cd albums since the 1990's. He has been in multiple theather plays. Dano Junas has been working with kids since the early 90's creating them careers in showbuisness. He has made 11 albums with children. He was in the hit musicals sucha as Grease and I love you, you're perfect, now change. He is big in sports such as horeback riding, fencing, boxing, freestyle wrestling and a 2 time winner of first place in car racing. He did some modeling and campaigns for various companies. He has been doing charities for kids from foster homes for many years and has raised money for them every year. He is now working on two new television shows. Trevor Johnson is a British Graphic Designer well known for his design work for Factory Records and his creative contribution to the Madchester music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. Trevor designed cover art and album covers for many Factory Record artists as well as much of the promotional merchandise for Fac51 The Hacienda and Fac 201 Dry Bar. The Factory Records Catalogue details all of Trevor Johnson’s cover artwork for The Durutti Column, A Certain Ratio, Ad Infinitum (band), Biting Tongues, Stockholm Monsters, Kalima and Electronic. Trevor also designed cover artwork and music design for 808 State, Simply Red and Swing Out Sister. In 2002 Trevor consulted with Director Michael Winterbottom on the Film 24 Hour Party People and was coerced into a cameo role as Ben Kelly. Yo Majesty

Tampa, FL-based group Yo Majesty -- Shunda K., Shon B., and Jwl B. -- turns upside down the male chauvinist standard in hip-hop music with a hardcore female bravado. Adopting an almost punk approach to a hybrid of Southern crunk and '80s-styled electro, the openly, and defiantly, gay trio gained notoriety in the 2000s for their sex-filled rhymes and boisterous and unbridled live shows. Rappers Shunda K. and Shon B. started out as a duo named Yeah Majesty before they were rounded out in 2000 by gospel-raised vocalist Jwl B., who ran in the same circles as the other two at a local nightspot in Tampa called the Harbor Club. Initially, they sounded a lot more like their Southern rap influences of Eightball & MJG and OutKast until they met London-based electronica duo Hard Feelings UK (David Alexander and Richard Winstanley) in 2002. They supplied Yo Majesty with their booty-shaking electro-rap club beats. She recently placed as a semi-finalist in the CBS Early Show Living Room Live Battle of the Bands competition. She is in the studio now working on the release of her next full length CD. Allison has a BA in from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. She has formal training in voice, clarinet performance, and composition from Eastman School of Music. Her Song Sampler has received notable reviews from CollectedSounds.com and Musesmuse.com and landed her a place in the national Chick Singer Night showcase, the On Stage Italian Artists showcase, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers showcase. In addition, her song "Something Better Waiting" reaped a Finalist Position in the 2005 Hank Williams Songwriting Contest, and "Risking a Fall" won her a 3rd Place prize in the 2005 SolarFest Singer-Songwriter Competition. In 2006, Scola performed in New York’s Columbus Day parade for the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation. Currently, she is in production on a forthcoming album with producer Janie Barnett. On Saturday, August 10, Allison and Joe Ravo performed for the Staten Island Yankees alongside her colleagues in the OSIA Centennial Lodge for Italian American Heritage night. Performing "Marco the Barber" and a song Allison wrote in Italian, "Canzone per Madre Terra". On June 24, 2007 Allison performed as part of On Stage Italian Artists for the New York Mets Baseball Club's Italian Day pre-game show. Performing along with Joe Ravo on guitar and Danny Mallon on percussion, Allison performed for the crowds at Shea with her original song "Marco the Barber," a story about an Italian-American with a dream. Eric has led the company’s re-branding effort, repositioning the brand as a fashion forward contemporary design force. It is very conveniently located next to the Panama Canal and is one of the main cities of import and export in the world. It has many incredible landmarks that are notable around the globe. The population of Amandaland is fairly high, and in fact, has the lowest crime rate in the world. In a recent census, the citizens of Amandaland all voted to be 100% content with their newfound city. The government of this almost-seperate country is a monarchy. Ruled by the fair King Edwin the Second and the wonderful and beautifully amazing Queen Amanda, the city is truly a sight to see, as is the queen. Claymore is a Japanese manga by Norihiro Nagi, first published in the monthly Shonen Jump magazine in 2001. Set in a medievil world, Claymores are enhanced humans, using the flesh and blood of the Yoma, the demons that they fight. They are created by a group only known as "The Organisation", who find orphans, often whos parents were killed by Yoma and create warriors from them. They are divided into the 47 regions of the land, with no more than 47 at a time, and are ranked acordingly. The main character, Clare, is ranked 47, the weakest of the claymores.
