I have now deleted the page because it was a copy of several web sties including pages from http://www.yorkinn.info, and http://www.ydr.com. It is possible that you wrote some of the content on these sites, however proof would need to be provided WP:Permit and in any case the style on those sites is mostly inappropriate, so the text would have to be rewritten anyway. Your user name and conflict of interest editing[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Smyser-Bair House, and I noticed that your username, "Smyser-Bair House", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:43, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

February 2017[edit]

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Orange Mike | Talk 14:41, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have understood the reason for blocking my page.I will agree with the terms and condition and will follow the guideline which i have got from here.Let me edit the page again. And i also added this licenses "Copyright 2007. All text and images on the pages of this website are available under the CC-BY-SA-3.0 and GFDL licenses. Please attribute by either linking to or referencing www.YorkInn.info. " so i think it will make me to get the oppourtunity to edit this page again. Thanks

Decline reason:

Stated agreement with Wikipedia policies and guidelines conflicts with stated intent to continue editing in areas of conflict of interest. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:45, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've done the rename (from User:Smyser-Bair House). Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:08, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

my previous user name was Smyser-Bair House and now i have changed my user name and now i am blocked from editing source.and cant get back my Smyser-Bair House page also.please unblock my account and let me know what have to do to get back my page which has been deleted. Thanks

Decline reason:

Above you stated an agreement to comply with Wikipedia terms and conditions and follow our guidelines. Yet, it still seems that you intend to continue contributing heavily in areas where you have a conflict of interest. If you can agree never to make any substantial edits to the Eric D. Goodman article, instead proposing your changes on the article talk page (you may preface each change proposeal with a {{request edit}} tag on the article talk page), and you agree to submitting any new articles on subjects where you have a conflict of interest via WP:AFC instead of creating them yourself in main article space, I will reconsider. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:45, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am already blocked to edit what you have mentioned previous unblock reviewed here is your statement "Eric D. Goodman article, instead proposing your changes on the article talk page (you may preface each change proposeal with a {{request edit}} tag on the article talk page)" . i will not make any edit which will conflict of interest.i just want back my page get back so that i can make it again following the guideline of the wikipedia terms and condition. Thanks

Decline reason:

You don't need to quote an administrator's statement right back; we know what we have written. For a published author, I must say that this recent request comes across as somewhat incoherent. It is unclear whether you fully understand the conditions for being unblocked. We need to be convinced that you are interested in furthering the goals of the Wikipedia project rather than furthering your own self-interest. It isn't clear at all that you understand:

(a) that if you're unblocked, you may not make any substantial changes to the Eric D. Goodman article, but instead propose any changes on the talk page, and

(b) that the Smyser-Bair House page has been deleted and will not be restored because it was unacceptable for main article space, and if you want to contribute an article on that subject, you must agree to write it in your sandbox or in draft space (not the main article space as you did earlier) and submit it for review at Wikipedia:Articles for creation.

I don't see a clear statement demonstrating that you understand and agree with those terms. You clearly haven't read Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks or Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, or if you have, you haven't demonstrated any knowledge of those documents. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:56, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Eric D. Goodman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A couple of reviews for one book don't meet WP:NAUTHOR. The prize mentioned in Baltimore Sun is not a "well-known and significant award or honor" required by WP:ANYBIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☆ Bri (talk) 14:40, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
