American[edit]

The Wikipedia standard is "American; please don't insist on changing it for this article, when it's used in hundreds of thousands of others. (Your edit summary was misleading, by the way.) --Mel Etitis (Talk) 19:06, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Serg!oo. Could you explain what you mean by "Shakira is American too?." I don't see how changing "American" to "U.S." for Beyonce shows that Shakira is also American. Orane (talkcont.) 19:29, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think that he meant that "American" should refer to the whole continent, so that calling someone "American" when what's meant is that they're from the U.S. is misleading. The trouble is that, first, "American" is the standard term for a citizen of the U.S., and isn't used to refer to someone from the continent in general, and secondly, that is in any case Wikipedia's standard usage. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 21:10, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo requests[edit]

Do you take photo requests? If so, would you mind photographing the Iberia Airlines headquarters in Madrid? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 22:55, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
