Happy editing! Marquardtika (talk) 20:44, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good day Marquardtika. Good to hear from you. And good to be learning how to edit at Wikipedia. LaoHu777 (talk) 12:04, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Publish means save[edit]

Wikipedia changed the button at the bottom from Save to Publish. All saved content is visible to other editors, so the thinking was to be clear about this. Once you have saved content (article, draft, Talk page, Teahouse) any editor can go to anywhere you have edited, then click on your Contributions to see ALL of your contributions. However, any external search (Google, etc.) will not find your draft. Even after an article is accpeted, there is a delay before it is visible to external search. Your submission at Articles for creation: Chu Tat-shing has been accepted[edit]

Chu Tat-shing, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as C-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. This is a great rating for a new article, and places it among the top 20% of accepted submissions — kudos to you! You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

Good to see Chu Tat-shing in the main space. The green box above says that I am now able to create articles for the main space without AFC submission. This is an unexpected honor. Good word to you for all your help. LaoHu777 (talk) 14:25, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed you can create articles in the main article space, but feel free to continue to use the AFC process as long as you'd like. You should now also be able to start articles in draft space and then later move them into main article space when you feel they are ready. I advise that you get a good number of articles successfully reviewed via AFC before moving articles yourself or starting articles in the main article space. Also, there are some good essays on article writing such as WP:42 and WP:BACKWARD you can read to better understand the article creation process. Good luck! - UtherSRG (talk) 14:37, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
