Umm, wut? I'm not sure if you are accusing me of sexism or Wikipedia generally. The policy is that non-notable's names are private unless relevant. "The presumption in favor of privacy is strong". It's not for me or anyone else to make the call that they aren't relevant, that is the assumption, so it's for you to make a strong case and achieve consensus that they are - and to do so before adding (or re-adding) the names. Rather than add their names to this article they should have been removed from the wife's. I have done that now.
Incidentally, I'd rather not go to war with you over mole hills, I appreciate your contributions to the article generally and have just addressed some minor points of contention in the wider interest. - The article has cleared AfD, and I changed the article name! And then I was transported to a wikidata page to check... something? And when I tried to correct a field to add her current name, I wasn't logged in, and then somehow managed to lose the page forever. If you know how to fix the wikidata and/or could generally check that I managed make the change without creating a ruckus, that would be appreciated. Hi, I saw your somewhat recent changes to the Hispanic and Latino conservatism page and I noticed your changes were mostly centered around changing the word Latino to be ostensibly more inclusive by using either Latino/Latina, Latino and Latina, or Latinx. As far as I was aware Latino was an inclusive term of all genders. Since the article is titled Hispanic and Latino conservatism, and from what I could find Latino is the status quo for referring to people of Latin American origin who live in the U.S. I thought about reverting it to Latino. While I too rely on Merriam-Webster online for many things, in this instance, consider conservative New York Times columnist Ross Douthat's piece from a year and a half ago in which he writes "in our world, the phrase 'Latinx' is increasingly commonplace." - Thanks for the reply, I read the article and it considers how although the term Latinx is becoming more common, it isn't wholly accepted by Latinos. Later in the piece, Douthat quotes a poll “Despite its usage by academics and cultural influencers, 98 percent of Latinos prefer other terms to describe their ethnicity. Only 2 percent of our respondents said the label accurately describes them, making it the least popular ethnic label among Latinos.” I myself am Hispanic/Latino and prefer to be called Hispanic or Latino over Latinx, which is one of the reasons I didn't want to go back on your changes without inquiring you due to wariness of violating WP:NPOV. I also didn't want to create a conflict by immediately reverting since it's not a massive concern to me what specific words are used as long as they are accepted. I'm just more concerned with uniformity across the page and other Wikipedia pages that have to do with Hispanics/Latinos, and the readability of the page, currently Hispanic/Latino/Latina over just Hispanic/Latino or Latinx. In conclusion, I think it'd be best to revert the terms used in the article to just Hispanic/Latino. If you prefer, for the sake of uniformity I think it'd also be acceptable to change instances of Latino/Latina to Latinx. However, I do see it as a less accepted term. - I see exactly one case of apparent sexism here: Persistently attempting to use Wikipedia editors' sex or gender as an argument. Repeatedly doing so, again and again. Wikipedia is not a battleground; "four men against one person on a woman's article" is not an appropriate way to describe a dispute. However, all explanations about this problem have just resulted in further personal attacks of exactly the type that was meant to be prevented by the block. The attacks have repeatedly continued on the only page left to make such attacks, and I'd like to prevent this from happening again. The Members' Meeting is similar to other WikiWednesday meetups, except that its primary function is to elect a new Board of Directors. We will elect five board seats.
