Back at you. And we built Yule Marble together. It took me 191 edits to add all that material and sources. But it was worth it (even if nobody else cares). Surprisingly, page views shows the value of even this relatively obscure article. 7&6=thirteen () 15:35, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Ah, Brother writer of obscure articles. Now I get what you meant. I tend to glom onto a project and follow where it takes me. I got hooked on the Gaetano Meo article because it didn't have any images, and I knew that many must exist. == BoringHistoryGuy (talk) 17:39, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Two articles I created Mountain dog page views and Trial film page views show how useful these obscure articles are to our readers. Creating list articles and having them survive the Wikipedia deletion process is hard. Indeed, Mountain dog's existence is threatened here even as I write this. As is Trial film here — although I just removed the latter's tag: nothing has happened to the merger proposal, and it has been posted since June 2019. 7&6=thirteen () 18:12, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
I took over the table of Yule Marble, and should be done in about 10 minutes. You can revert if you hate it. Best == BoringHistoryGuy (talk) 19:33, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Bertha Boronda

On 4 January 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bertha Boronda, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Bertha Boronda tried to flee on a bicycle after committing mayhem against her husband? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bertha Boronda. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Bertha Boronda), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

This week's article for improvement (week 2, 2020)

The pilot in command of an aircraft is the person aboard who is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during flight. This would be the captain in a typical two- or three-pilot aircrew, or "pilot" if there is only one certificated and qualified pilot at the controls of an aircraft.

A wish for the New decade

Robbie Robertson and Ringo Starr, featured (September 18, 2019). "The Weight" (Video). Playing for Change, Song Around The World. Retrieved January 6, 2020 – via YouTube. 4,036,204 views 7&6=thirteen () 13:20, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Love it! Thanks for posting it. I love that song... I love Ringo... and I love love Playing for Change. First one, Get Up Stand Up blew me away years ago. I am going to research how they do the recording... I don't remember how they do it, but I remember it's cool. Nice way to start the day!–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:35, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
We are of one mind. 7&6=thirteen () 13:37, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I guess we are! Music will do that. Found out how they do it.–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:44, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I knew some of the technical stuff, but had no idea about how big this project has become. I note that there doesn't seem to be a Wikipedia article on them (that I could find). Clearly worthy of an article. 7&6=thirteen () 14:06, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
See Playing for Change - but it needs work - it's mostly primary sources. And, it has the look of a primary source page.–CaroleHenson (talk) 14:12, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. Nice to see it. I tweaked the citations and fixed a bare URL. But this is a digression from real work. 7&6=thirteen () 14:24, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Please do not revert the edits that I made to the article. See this comment. I was tempted to add a warning on your talk page. You didn't address the reasons why the edits were made.–CaroleHenson (talk) 17:55, 4 January 2020 (UTC)

User:CaroleHenson Yes, I did. Purging of material and sources (you got rid of the books? They provide historical evidence of notability) is not in good faith. You folks are working in concert to poison the well in the AFD. User:Doncram wants to parse the syntax of the diminution of wetlands in the township here. Seriously? 7&6=thirteen () 18:16, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
I am guessing that you didn't read why I returned the content to before Doncram's edits with an attempt to keep what could be kept. I was trying to save content, but found all the issues I have mentioned on the article talk page... and, now as you directed, on the AfD page. I am truly hurt that this was seen as a negative intention. I won't return my edits, but I do stand by them.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:26, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
I will take another look, but not today. Real world intrudes. And this whole effort is a time waster. You and User:Doncram seem to be moving in the same direction, as I noted at the AFD discussion. Removing the books? Really?
There are six million wikipedia articles that could actually benefit from rewrites and additions.
And your wholesale (to me) deletions are daunting, if not a conversation stopper. Of course, your !vote at AFD is your business, and it's on you and your conscience. How you vote is not a relevant factor to me – threats leave me cold.
Indeed, how the article presently or actually looks is not a proper factor at AFD. So you do what you have to do. 7&6=thirteen () 18:50, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
The only thing I will comment on, since I have been saying the same thing over and over again, is that the state of the article does not impact AfD. In my experience that is wrong. I have worked to add sources to undersource or unsourced or poorly sourced articles and changed what was leading to deletion to keeps. One of my favorite efforts was on the Ricky Lauren (wife of Ralph Lauren) article. See AfD discussion.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:56, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
And, I will leave it to your conscience to have jumped all over me for trying to help and misreading my intentions and calling out my ethics.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:00, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
I only know what I see.
But history is not destiny. 7&6=thirteen () 19:02, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
FWIW, I have changed many prods to keeps. And DYKs. WP:Hey. That is one of my areas of interest in Wikipedia. 7&6=thirteen () 19:11, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
Good, re: DYK's. They are fun! Yep, prods are fun to change to keeps, too!
I hope for you that you can take some deep breaths... and be able to see that who you see as enemies are really nice people with good intentions. It seems to me that is more important in the whole scheme of things with whether or not an article is deleted, kept, or merged.
I have also had articles that I have worked on- that I thought were notable- get deleted or merged. It happens, and I have even taken on an effort to merge into another article when it was clear that is where the AfD was headed. Because I think it's more important to get along and see what is happening around me.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:21, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
I was not characterizing anybody as an "enemy." I am disappointed that you project that on me. It is unfortunate that we cannot talk and collaborate on the project at the same time. Unfortunately, the Wikipedia edit process is point and counter point, with minimal elucidation and no interaction. And when it is overlayed with AFD, discussions which are controversial (assuming anybody shows up to raise an opposing voice), the whole show can be both misinterpreted and toxic.
This is not my first AFD. And what I try to do is add sources. I've rescued many articles, with some getting DYKs in the process.
That I issued you a WP:Barnstar shows my attitude about working with you.
However, when folks tear up articles, and start removing undeniable sources (hey, I read them), where it looks like they are trying to skew the AFD discussion to their desired deletion, they are acting out of process.
I've also encountered them pruning !votes (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not) and pushing the matter to their favored conclusion, irrespective of policy.
And then there is the constant nattering against WP:ARS. This has gone on again in the parallel track at WP:ANI. Rescuing and improving articles is good for Wikipedia. 'nuf said.
As to specific edits, even if it was the same book, that it was published a hundred years apart shows continuing interest. And if indeed it is the same book, one could easily have changed the citation template to use "orig year=" Eliminating entirely the earlier or the later reprint makes no sense.
Cheers. 7&6=thirteen () 12:41, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Well, I guess I thought I was no longer viewed as a collaborator after our initial chats on the article talk page — when you labeled me as having AfD ethics issues. Since you blasted me and yelled at me to "Stop" in a number of places, I felt like I was in the enemy category. It's kind of bad form to attack a person's reputation.

You are so right, I do have skewed attitude when I worked on the article. But it's not what you think. My attitude and intention was to improve the article. Your continued questioning of my motives shows that you are still not getting that. (In the past, I have changed my votes from "delete" to "keep" many times after trying to improve the article - and if we could have worked together to get a good final product, who knows, I may have changed my vote to "keep" here, too. I don't have a dog in this hunt, my only concern was that it could result in a gazillion stubs of lakes in Minnesota, unless there's criteria by size, protected status, other. In any event, I just like to work on improving articles. Right now, I am working on Randolph Jefferson and doing precisely the same kind of thing - updating sources to more reliable and verifiable secondary sources.)

It's too bad that you view making edits to improve the article with reliable sources, recent sources, etc. is a bad thing. If you want me to explain why I made the edits that I did - I would be happy to summarize the edits by ID#. And, why it's better to use the most recent edition of a book - as I learned from a Cambridge scholar / WP mentor to me - I would be happy to share why I and others think that way (now).

I am also surprised that you still haven't added back the content that I added that got reverted in the mass revert... or addressed the acreage question on the talk page. You seem a bit calmer. I hope that's so.–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:22, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

I don't view them that way at all. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Obviously, reliable sources, recent sources are not a bad thing.
I am busy in real life, so I can't tend to this for a couple of days. Time limits are a root part of the AFD problem, in my view. 7&6=thirteen () 13:30, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Yep, a failure to communicate does seem to be at hand. All I need is the decoder ring :).
Sure. Let me know if you want to talk through the nature of the changes when you're free.–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:49, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I will do that. We will set up a back channel and talk. Maybe (I don't know where you are from). I'll send you an e-mail 7&6=thirteen () 14:07, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Ok, sounds good.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:42, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I see you made a couple of tweaks to the article.
Now that the article has been moved to "keep", can we take a look at the differences between my edits and the current version? Also, beside the content that I had, I think there is at least one point in the AfD discussion for additional content.
I am happy to summarize them, like I said before.–CaroleHenson (talk) 15:55, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

FWIW, the close is being reconsidered. I am still up to my arse in alligators here. So it will be a few more days before I can get back with you. Thanks. 7&6=thirteen () 16:08, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

Thank You for ur response, actually some one hijacked this whole article of Maira Khan with other actress (because name of both is same) and instantly the hijacked article got nominated and got delete vote on the basis of hijacked and wrong non notable info of that time [1] I revered to older version and she meets notability of wikipidea but the delete voters are actually now not responding and article will be deleted consedering those baseless votes of hijacked version. Also check this [2] as article was hijacked in this edit, and thes original actress article is here since many years. Will you please do something as wikipidea is the place for good faith editors like me not like the person who hijacked the article and because of him an actress article will be deleted which is actually notable 196.62.189.147 (talk) 17:11, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

  • Our photos of the crowd at this concert look wimpy. You only get a real sense of the crowd size about half way through this. Mind-boggling.

Second opinion needed.

I've been having a back-and-forth with another editor at Talk:Universal Life Church about how the article should characterize the degree to which states permit ULC ordained ministers to perform marriages. His view is apparently that we should suggest that they are invalid except where they are specifically held valid. My view is that we should state where they are held valid, where they are held invalid, and that the remaining jurisdictions haven't said one way or the other. Of course, we're all lawyers here, so everyone is being lawyerly. This is one of those situation where I know I'm right, but I want a second set of eyes on the question. I'm not asking that you weigh in on the discussion itself, just your opinion here. Cheers! BD2412 T 03:18, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I notice you use reFill. This is a useful tool but sometimes introduces errors, most frequently inserting the unsupported parameter "|deadurl=y" instead of "|url-status=dead", but also not adding "|archive-date=" with links archived to archive.today, such as here. New Page Reviewer newsletter February 2020

Hello 7&6=thirteen,

Source Guide Discussion

The first NPP source guide discussion is now underway. It covers a wide range of sources in Ghana with the goal of providing more guidance to reviewers about sources they might see when reviewing pages. Hopefully, new page reviewers will join others interested in reliable sources and those with expertise in these sources to make the discussion a success.

Redirects

New to NPP? Looking to try something a little different? Consider patrolling some redirects. Redirects are relatively easy to review, can be found easily through the New Pages Feed. You can find more information about how to patrol redirects at WP:RPATROL.

Discussions and Resources
Refresher

Geographic regions, areas and places generally do not need general notability guideline type sourcing. When evaluating whether an article meets this notability guideline please also consider whether it might actually be a form of WP:SPAM for a development project (e.g. PR for a large luxury residential development) and not actually covered by the guideline.

Thanks for your welcome

Hi, 7&6=13! Thank you for taking the time to welcome me and send resources. Looking over a few I see advice that resonates, such as not fearing making a mistake and explaining reasons for some edits on the article's Talk page. This advice should prove helpful as I continue working on my first created page. I appreciate your offer of help as I fill the voids in my knowledge. I see that someone has already helped with my first task - entering multiple citations from a single book (i.e., Gurney). I believe I'd be able to add a book to the Bibliography, but how does one enable the author's name and year of publication in the list of References link to that bibliographical entry? I can create a link to a separate Wikipedia page, but not this type of link. Thanks! E54495a (talk) 16:19, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

E54495a I added all those books in the Bibliography. See how I used the book template and added |ref=harv And I used WP:SFN format. Hope that helps. 7&6=thirteen () 16:33, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. On another topic, I'm seeing a problem that maybe you can help with. Reference 1, which was added in a revision, is the same as Reference 16, which was my original reference on the death of Ardolino (his obituary). Reference 16 was used 6 times throughout the page. Now References 1 and 16 are next to each other at the end of the Biography section. Would you be willing to either delete Reference 1 (not sure it is necessary to use references in the opening section) or else delete Reference 16, making sure all the associated references, 16 a-f (or 16 b-f), become 1 a-f? Please advise. I'd delete Reference 16 myself, but I don't know how, and then I don't know what would happen to 16 b-f. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by E54495a (talkcontribs) 17:52, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Where?

in this source[3] is Dartmouth mentioned? WHere in this[4] and this[5] source is Tuck School of Business Administration mentioned?...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 10:56, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

And the Orlando Evening Star article don't say Master's Degree either....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 11:00, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

Both <ref name="Engaged"/><ref name="Married"/> mention Dartmouth. I moved them. In any event, there is only only business school there. You are fly specking. WTH? User:WilliamJE. 7&6=thirteen () 11:04, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
WP:SYNTH, which you did before in this article. You don't take source A and B to say C. I've fixed this kind of referencing lots of time. Here's a talk page[6] discussion about this kind of stuff. @Ahunt: might want to chime in....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 11:24, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
You are not using common sense. Requiring every word to be independently referenced (they all mentioned Culver, they all mentioned Dartmouth, but only one mentioned the master's degree) is silly. 7&6=thirteen () 11:36, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

[;User:WilliamJE]] Hi, I meant what I said. Do not refactor my statements. You have been neither collegial not collaborative. Your conduct is what it is. Res ipsa loquitur.
Moreover, I have given up leaving messages on your talk page. You remove them and disregard them. Your choice. I do not knowingly engage in vain acts. 7&6=thirteen () 13:38, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
1- The notice at the very top of my talk page says 'If I have left a message on your talk page, please answer there rather than posting here: I will have put your talk page on my watchlist. Thanks.' That is why I removed your edit here[7].
2- I didn't refactor anything you wrote. You keep up with the false accusations and personal attacks, I will seek sanctions. Don't ping me anymore either....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 13:44, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
You said statements had been removed. I thought you had done that. But your statement was false, so I was misled and wrong about that. I apologize for any of that misunderstanding.

Bath School disaster is my first WP:FAC nom. I've been working on it for ages and don't want the FAC to possibly die on the vine (so far one editor has weighed in - with Support). Your thoughts/a review would be welcomed on its FAC page. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 18:01, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for looking over Bath School disaster but re this edit... I don't understand what reFill2 did as there weren't any bare URLs. The gadget/tool removed a valid ref and there is now a Cite error. Shearonink (talk) 19:29, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
User:Shearonink Fixed it. Interesting that you use the formatting you do. I would want to put in a bibliography, and use WP:SFN. See for example, S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes. But under WP:CITEVAR that is your decision. Cheers. 7&6=thirteen () 19:44, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your time on Bath School disaster. The referencing-style could be considered somewhat of an artifact but I *think* the referencing-style is what was already established and so I worked with it. I've gotten so I actually like it as it is 1)simple to understand and 2)simple to fix if there are any issues. I'll take a look at your Wikilinks above. Thanks again, Shearonink (talk) 19:53, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
WP:SFN has the virtue of putting the books in one place (no duplication and using {{sfn|Author|year|page=[link #]}} you get to link to the book, and also to the page number in the citation. I find its an elegant, economical and optimum solution. IMO. 7&6=thirteen () 20:31, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
For sure Harvard cites/sfn has advantages (especially for experienced editors) but it seems to me that the nomenclature is not easy for new editors to use and/or understand. "User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js" will usually find Harv errors and Harv warnings in any Harv cite'd article I come upon.
Thanks again for looking in on Bath School disaster, greatly appreciated. Shearonink (talk) 20:45, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
I only made suggestions. It was not meant as criticism. I did add one citation.
The change can be done. WP:Bold. I took over and reformatted all of the referencing at Smith & Wesson. It was a mess before my effort; it was a big effort, and even got noticed by another editor. Yippee! 7&6=thirteen () 20:47, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

DYK for S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes

On 29 March 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after 50 years in business, S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes is both a landmark and a stop on "Haunted Pittsburgh" tours? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes. User:Cassianto. No attempt. I don't try tell you what to do. And I don't care of you respond. It was simply an attempt to get folk to dial it down and couth up. Trying to assuage a storm tossed sea. Life is short, and then you die. 7&6=thirteen () 23:14, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
And your way of "getting folk to dial it down" is to tell them to "drop the attitude", is it, together with accusations of incivility? An amazing display of arrogance. CassiantoTalk 05:41, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
User:Cassianto I disagree with your comment. But you can express your opinion and I will not remonstrate. One upping the other is contraindicated. I hope your editing experiences are good and productive. Ciao. 7&6=thirteen () 12:11, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
(ec, and I refuse to look there, waste of time, just general remark:) Thank you, 7&6. Imagine you are an IP, add something to an article, see it's gone, add it again, and again ... (7 times) - feel that you and your work are not appreciated, turn away from Wikipedia? That's what I see. We do have editors who have not discovered yet what an article talk page is, or where to see an edit summary, and I see no way to reach out to them (instead of branding them "or perhaps a logged-out infobox warrior" on some edit-warring notice board). How can we improve basic kindness to new editors? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:47, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Don't keep defending the indefensible Arendt. If it was someone removing one of your precious IBs you'd be up in arms and declaiming them on as many talk pages as possible (targetting admins and Arbs, obviously), trying to get action taken against them. Please don't insult my intelligence by claiming otherwise. - SchroCat (talk) 13:51, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
I went to this page because 7&6 commented on the unwatched page. I didn't say this particular IP was a harmless new user (had not checked their history), - all I tried to say - "silly advice" - was that it would not hurt to treat them as such, per in dubio pro reo. - In the meantime, I checked their contribs, and found small cosmetic edits to Odile Pierre and Giwi Margwelaschwili, and none of them were IB related. I hope they return after the block. Anybody listening: don't touch the infobox topic, it can be damaging to your health. - Penderecki - as Pierre Boulez - was one of the people who made a lasting impression on me. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:07, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
The guy edit warred SEVEN TIMES. They were asked in edit summaries and on their talk page to stop and use the article talk page and a thread was opened for them. And they kept reverting. The point of a presumption of innocence was passed at revert three, so you don't have to keep defending them. It's a far cry from the treatment meted out to the IB on Requiem (Duruflé), where - miracle upon miracle – all the IB warriors came out to insult and bully the IP off the page. No presumption of innocence there, I see. Don't bother replying – I'm off: there's only such much hypocrisy I can stomach in one sitting. - SchroCat (talk) 14:18, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
You misunderstood me completely: I invited to treat them as innocent the FIRST time, - and the rest might not have happened. Sorry about my lack of language. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:25, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
As Rodney King famously said, "Can't we all get along?" In the end, an infobox here and not an infobox there is not the end of wikipedia. And it is not worth fighting over. Endianness.
FWIW, it applies not only to eggs, but to toilet paper I am certain that it is supposed to go over the top, like a waterfall. Yenisey, Zeynep (April 5, 2016). "What the Direction Your Toilet Paper Hangs Says About You According to Science: Under or over?". Maxim. Retrieved 2 April 2020. 7&6=thirteen () 14:27, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
I agree. So why would one revert one added in good faith? That was my question. Instead, of a reason, I received a generous helping of accusing me to have trained and led an army of IPs. I'd take one or the other four-letter-word with more ease, but learned to ignore it, up to a certain point. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:19, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
"I received a generous helping of accusing me to have trained and led an army of IPs". That's a straight up-and-down lie. I have said absolutely nothing of the sort, which is incredibly plain to anyone reading this. Don't bother with an apology, it wouldn't be worth the effort. - SchroCat (talk) 17:52, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

I am sorry that my talk page degenerated into the name calling. I think both of you should stop it, declare a truce, and apologize for the misunderstanding. What we have here is a failure to communicate. I know you both mean well, are experienced and important editors, and if you could actually talk (instead of type), this could be worked out.
I have said my piece. I can't make you stand down or get along.
But if you are going to carry on, I gently suggest that maybe the article talk page would be a more convenient place for your paper hanging, hair pulling and garment tearing. Best to all of you. 7&6=thirteen () 18:56, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Benno Bikes up for deletion and DYK and Deletion Review

There seems to be enough evidence to show the notability of this bicycle company. The Benno Bike newspaper clip board settles this. Indeed, the 26 (or 27) in line cited and linked sources in the article should mean something. Those folks didn't bother to look very hard (or at least not thoroughly) for the sources that establish notability.

Hello!

It seems you have found me recently! You said you thought I lived in the northern mitten, and i'm interested how you came to that conclusion. I do edit a lot of articles that have something to do with up there. You said you live up near lake Huron, and I recommend you visit the Great Lakes Lore Maritime Museum if you haven't already as it's in a port city where different freighters will load up with limestone, and the museum also contains the bell of the Carl D. Bradley, which i've seen is one of the articles you've edited. Bowtiesarecool06 (talk) 23:08, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

I saw your user page; adding to that obscure subject told me a lot. When I was a child long ago, I remember fishing boats like that operating out of Manistee. I edited the Bradley article after having heard one of the survivors speak about his ordeal at a local gathering. I've not been to that museum, and will add it to my itinerary after the plague subsides. In the same vein, I do heartily recommend the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center, which is world class. My neighbor is on the staff of the planetarium of Besser Museum, although I have not been there since they added their new hardware. I vastly improved the regional article Northern Michigan and The Thumb. Anyway, happy editing. Stay in touch. 7&6=thirteen () 02:10, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

I have been to that museum, and as great lakes shipwrecks are one of my favorite subjects it was quite interesting. You should certainly visit the Besser Museum, as a lot has changed since then. When this plague is over, they will start work on restoring another boat they have, the RV Chinook, which is a research vessel that operated out of Alpena from the 40s to 2016. Bowtiesarecool06 (talk) 22:59, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Andy Auld (Royal Navy officer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lead claim in Mildred Seydell

I wanted to give you a heads up since you originated this article, I'm planning on removing the claim that she was the first woman journalist in Georgia. Although there are in fact sources that claim this, I think there are several counter-examples right here on Wikipedia that show those sources to be incorrect. I haven't made the change yet, I left a comment with details on the talk page for now. Welcome your comments. --Krelnik (talk) 23:46, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

Krelnik Whether it is correct or incorrect is irrelevant. WP:Verifiability not WP:Truth. And Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a reliable source 7&6=thirteen () 11:58, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Perhaps I wasn't clear. There are reliable sources that clearly verify several other different women were working as journalists in Georgia more than 20 years prior to Seydell. Some even edited and owned their own newspapers. So she's verifiably NOT the first woman journalist in Georgia. I guess my only question is there something else to what she is claiming with the "breaking the gender barrier" phrase? Both of the two sources for that sentence use the same phrasing - that she was "one of the first women" to work as a newspaper journalist in Georgia. (Which I suppose is technically correct). But they both also use the term "gender barrier" which we repeat in the lead paragraph. So my question is what gender barrier did she actually break? --Krelnik (talk) 12:26, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Seriously, you think that the glass ceiling and gender barrier disappeared? Rephrase it as you will. You might seek out User:Doug Coldwell for his input. 7&6=thirteen () 12:31, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Okay, nevermind then, no need to bite my head off for a courtesy ping. I see WP:AGF doesn't apply here. FWIW I spent 15 minutes yesterday capturing, cropping and retouching a photo of Seydell that the copyright had lapsed on so I could add it to her article. So I'm not being an ass here. I'm just trying to make sure Wikipedia doesn't repeat incorrect claims that in all probability originate from Seydell's own PR BIO way back when and have been repeated ever since.--Krelnik (talk) 12:37, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
I wasn't biting your head off. I don't own the article. Thanks for your additions to the article. Everything in Wikipedia is a work in progress, and we need to work together. I WP:AGF even if you don't. 7&6=thirteen () 13:09, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
