ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:51, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Gitanjali Rao (AfD)[edit]

Hi! I was doing some looking around on Wikipedia after filing an AfD for a similar article. I see that you brought up the same points for Gitanjali Rao (scientist) a while back. The 3M Young Scientist award is awarded to students in grades 5 through 8, and the work done by Rao doesn't seem substantial enough to warrant the creation of a Wikipedia page. The EPA award is also awarded to students in grades K-12. The scientist title is indeed very misleading and would appreciate it if you could take another look at the article. I am unsure if you're still willing to propose the article for deletion. There are four articles I can find that each reference the 3M article and this is one of them. Rao is a pretty famous youth activist, especially among Gen Z. She's been really active on UNESCO, UN Human Rights, UN Guyana, UN Geneva, UN Women, UNICEF, as per a quick search. It seems like she's even given her technology to UNICEF, which promotes and uses it. That's very notable work. I agree the page could use some work, with some new sources, but would not suggest proposing the article for deletion. CraigSut (talk) 06:22, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
