The Karate Kid (2010 film)[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Regarding your edits to Karate Kid (2010 film), you should be aware of a few things:

  • First, plot synopses are generally written in the present tense. You can see this by observing how the rest of the synopsis is written. Such text should not change from one tense to the other, unless some distinctive aspect of the narrative requires it.
  • A synopsis is not designed to be a retelling of the story, and therefore, does not require the extraneous details present in the completed movie. It is intended to be a summary with which the reader can understand the basic plot. Any trivial details, therefore, that do not help the reader understand the basic elements of the film's plot, character arcs and themes, such as the musical piece played by Mei Ying, should not be included in the synopsis.
  • You are expected to provide an edit summary when you make an edit, one that summarizes your edits, and possibly whatever relevant policies you were following when doing so.
  • Most importantly, Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and among the policies and guidelines that govern this are Wikipedia:Consensus and Wikipedia:Collaboration. If other editors provide valid, policy-based rationales in their edit summaries, you should not revert them unless you can provide a similar rationale for doing so. If a series of edits or reversions is controversial or subject to dispute, you should discuss the edits with the other editors on the article's Talk Page. You should not simply revert without providing a valid edit summary, as you did here, for example. Since two different editors have already reverted your edits, and cited the relevant policies when doing so, reverting without an edit summary or discussion could be seen as edit warring, which is not permitted on Wikipedia.

If you can cite a valid, policy-based reasons why the reversions of your edits were not valid, then please provide them in an edit summary, on in a Talk Page discussion.

If you have any other questions about editing, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 20:07, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm MrX. I noticed that you recently removed content from Faithful Word Baptist Church without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - MrX 22:59, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Faithful Word Baptist Church, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for October 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Colt AR-15, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Port Arthur Massacre (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
