Welcome to Wikipedia, Yunchie! I am Mysdaao and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Help Desk Question

Just to let you know that your question about Michael Shane has now been answered - sorry it took so long for someone to respond! Stephen! Coming... 00:37, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Michael Shane article

Hi,

I have added a little bit more material to the article, to assert a bit of notability. However, I fear that this article may end up being deleted if more information about why he is notable isn't added. I would suggest you have a read of the guidelines on notability and then add any information that proves he is notable to the article. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line. Stephen! Coming... 17:05, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, I was about to add that as well, but got sidetracked. I have read the notability guidelines, and agree that the article is questionable. However, I am working on finding some more information, and will improve the article as it comes in to me. Right now, I was mostly interested in repairing the confusion between the wrestler and the actor with the link from One Potato, Two Potato. BTW....I am a bit new to communicating through talk pages, so I am still unsure as to where to respond to your message, here or on your talk page? Yunchie (talk) 20:37, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
That's a case of personal preference. I prefer to keep conversations on one talk page, and as I will generally keep an eye on where I last posted in case of further comment, I usually do spot a reply. There is a method of you can use to alert people to a reply on your talk page by leaving {{talkback|Yunchie}} on their talk page. What they would see is:
Hello, Yunchie. You have new messages at Yunchie's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
... which will point them to you.
As for the Michael Shane article, if he isn't notable, then what can be done is putting a different hatnote on the wrestler's article. I forget which template you need, but there is one that can be used that gives Michael Shane redirects here. For the actor who appeared in One Potato, Two Potato, see One Potato, Two Potato. Not ideal, but if it ends up that there is no Michael Shane article, then that is the next best offering. Stephen! Coming... 11:59, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
As you have read the notability guidelines, I have added the {{newpage}} template to the top of the article. As the article could potentially be deleted by WP:AFD, I thought it prudent to add this to give you a bit more time. As notability has been asserted, it isn't liable for speedy deletion, but there are a number of editors out there who still think a small amount of notability is not enough, and will still nominate it. Drives me round the bend. I'll get off my soap box now, shall I?
Long and short of it is, I won't be nominating it for deletion, nor will I allow it to be marked for speedy deletion, and you should now have the time to get some information together to expand the article, or revert it to a redirect (and add the alternative hatnote to the wrestler's article). Stephen! Coming... 12:10, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank you....again. Hopefully, that will hold off the process for enough time to allow some additional details. It is interesting, to me anyway, how what began as a simple cleanup of the One Potato, Two Potato article, has branched into a number of other editing issues. I can see that it would be easy to lose sight of the original task. Yunchie (talk) 15:24, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Archiving code

I see that you copied code from my user talk page to yours in order to set up automatic archiving of this page. What you have will work, but there is one small change you should make. One of the fields you put is "counter = 2". It's set to 2 on my page because the bot has already created and filled Archive 1 to the maximum size, so it's now moving old threads to Archive 2. If left as it is, the bot will call the first archive page it creates User talk:Yunchie/Archive 2, which is probably not what you want. To fix this, just change the field to "counter = 1", and then the first archive page created will be User talk:Yunchie/Archive 1. For more information on the different options for MiszaBot, you can read User:MiszaBot/Archive HowTo or ask me. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 21:45, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
