Paul Penzone[edit]

Per WP:POLITICIAN, a person is not necessarily notable just for running as a candidate — if he were a candidate for the United States Senate, that alone might be sufficient notability because the scope of the office and the volume of reliable coverage is so much larger, but not for an office like county sheriff. Normally, for an unelected candidate to be notable enough for an article on Wikipedia, he has to already have been notable enough for other things that he could have had an article even before he ran for office.
