[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Wonders of the World, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - You are mistaken. The edits were not vandalism. I've put them back.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Wordsmithsonian (talk • contribs) 06:26, 27 February 2008
- Dear fellow editor. This is a reply to the revisions I made on diff=194392824&oldid=194392735 in the article Wonders of the World. I have reviewed the changes. While I do not agree with the removal of the links, the statement about the Pyramids as the last standing ancient wonder of the world is correct. Thanks for your time and notification. At this time I would like to remind you to always assume good faith. As you may know a Wiki may be edited by anyone at anytime. Unfortunately that draws a group of people who wish to vandalise a lot of the great contributions on the Wikipedia. However, there are many people working to stop and revert vandalism but sometimes we make mistakes. In the future it's best to try and not take it personally and simply talk it out how User:Kralizec! did. Happy editing. Mkdwtalk 20:30, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Wonders of the World
[edit]Just wanted to let you know that I reverted your change of the Northern Lights link [3] in the Wonders of the World article. Northern Lights is a disambiguation page, and linking convention on Wikipedia is to always link to the specific term (in this case, Aurora (astronomy)) wherever possible. --Kralizec! - Thanks.
- No offense, but you're adding *WAY* too many big, unnecessary pictures to articles; they're almost unreadable because of text-flow issues, and wikipedia isn't a picture book. May I suggest you spend a little time checking around to see how other articles look and how photos are used - get a feel for what works and what doesn't. Just because pictures can be found online relating to something in an article does NOT mean they should be slapped into articles. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 16:15, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:46, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Renaming articles
[edit]Hi thanks for your message. I can do the move for you, however you should be able to do it yourself I think? At the top of each article there is a "move" tab (where the "edit this page" tab is). If you click on that and then insert the new name plus the reason for the move, the article will be renamed. If you are unsure though I can still do it for you, just it is good to get used to wikipedia! Have fun. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:16, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- I have no move tab.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wordsmithsonian (talk • contribs) 22:18, 29 February 2008
- OK no worries I will move it for you. Please note though that when you leave comments on talk pages you should sign your message by adding four tildes at the end. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- No there shouldn't be a full stop (period) there, it is called editing wikipedia whilst not fully concentrating. I have moved it to the correct title now. Excuse my mess up.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
