Fair use rationale for File:Scomi_Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Scomi_Logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 10:38, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Malay-Malaysian-Old Malay-Melayu-Indonesia-blah blah blah

[edit]

Good efforts recently from u on these pages. Particularly with the Malaysian page. There's been a fair bit of nonsense and lack of clarity across the articles. There is still some coordination to do across the articles but good to see u took the first plunge. Cheers --Merbabu (talk) 05:43, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop edit warring. Per the WP:BRD process, you are expected to discuss and get consensus after making a change that was reverted. If you remove the elections again you will be reported. I have responded to your query on my talk page. Number 57 12:25, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Please kindly refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Malaysian_general_election%2C_2013&diff=560035626&oldid=558769326

I would like to know why GE-13 is not the 13th General Election of Malaysia. I have looked up some references, and it seems that the most recent general election on May 5th is indeed the 13th general election the country has had. --Mark Chung (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2013 (UTC) Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963 and there have only been 12 general elections since that date.Wikiteck (talk) 10:27, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Malayan Nature Journal

[edit]

The article Malayan Nature Journal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG. Tagged for notability since 2010...

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Randykitty (talk) 11:23, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Scomi Logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
