Georgetown

[edit]

Hi WikiRegulator. Welcome to Wikipedia. I have undone your edit to Georgetown, as a redirect to Georgetown University does not seem appropriate given the significance of some of the other Georgetowns. Also, if you need to move apage in future, please use the "Move" link at the top of the page, or list it on Wikipedia:Requested moves. Do not do a cut-and-paste move, as it loses the edit history, which can have copyright issues. Please also put something helpful in the Edit summary when you edit to explain what or why you change something. Sorry this message sounds fairly negative. --Scott Davis Talk 10:38, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name

[edit]

Hi. Your name has been listed on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names because it appears to be in violation of our Wikipedia:User name policy, which states that user names that are potentially confusing are not allowed. Specifically, user names that give the appearance of a position of authority on Wikipedia are disallowed. If you change your user name you can request that all your previous edits be attributed to your new user name. Thanks. Exploding Boy 16:32, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
