September 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Brian Welsh. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Brian Welsh. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. GoodnightmushTalk 19:15, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Brian Welsh. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. TYelliot (talk) 19:29, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding your disruptive edits, such as this edit you made to Brian Welsh. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. TYelliot (talk) 19:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You would be better off discussing your concerns on the articles talk page your actions are likely to result in a block. cheersTeapotgeorgeTalk 19:54, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Brian Welsh. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. TeapotgeorgeTalk 19:58, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Potential conflict of interest[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Edit warring report[edit]

Hello, I have declined to block you after a user filed an edit warring report against you as noted above by Nomoskedasticity. The page is already locked, and since you seem to be here to edit only that page, you are effectively prevented from editing anyway. I suggest you involve yourself in the discussion at the BLP noticeboard and make clear that you are willing to participate in discourse and not just edit war. If you resume edit warring when the page is unlocked, I will not hesitate to block you from editing. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 22:57, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
