If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Najee Anthony Sneed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. (talk) 12:10, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A summary of some guidelines that will determine whether or not your article will stay or be deleted[edit]

Just being a basketball player does not mean that Najee Anthony Sneed is notable:

Removing Speedy at Najee Anthony Sneed[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Najee Anthony Sneed, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hang on}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 12:44, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your posts to User talk:Fæ[edit]

Youtube videos are not reliable sources, and repeatedly asking an editor to not delete a page won't help. You need to find reliable source (click here to see what counts as reliable sources) to demonstrate that Sneed is notable (click here to see what this site considers notable). Removing Speedy at Najee Anthony Sneed[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Najee Anthony Sneed. Please use the {{hang on}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 12:46, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Najee Anthony Sneed. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 12:59, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding sources[edit]

As Fæ pointed out on their talk page, and as I indirectly pointed out here, Facebook is not considered a reliable source. Anyone can make a Facebook page. Do you have any magazine or newspaper articles about Sneed? Try those. Ian.thomson (talk) 13:08, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How to add footnotes[edit]

Footnotes can be added inline to the body of your text using <ref> tags. An example looks like:

JavaScript is used on webpages today.<ref>Smith, John (2005), ''JavaScript 101'', ISBN 938223445333</ref>

And the resultant text would look like: JavaScript is used on webpages today.1

With the superscript 1 being a link to a footnote at the bottom of the page automatically created by inserting the code: {{reflist}}

An easy to follow standard guide is at Referencing for beginners with citation templates, an online video demonstration can be played at Footnotes demo.ogv and a primer for general editing is at How to edit a page. Thanks, (talk) 13:19, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
