Just to let you know that I recently copied the above image that you uploaded to Wikipedia over to WikiMedia Commons, the Wikimedia central media repository for all free media. The image had been tagged with the {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} template. Your image is now available to all Wikimedia projects at the following location: Commons:File:Acastlepalazzo.jpg. Thanks for uploading File:Larino Centro Storico.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Hi. Vicoduomo here. Really appreciate the advice. I'm gradually getting the hang of this. It is more complex than I had thought. Wikilink as External Link[edit]

Hi, Vicoduomo. I've reverted your edits to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 for the primary reason that the External Links section is for links to outside Wikipedia. Your link is to an article inside Wikipedia. I did not read the article you linked to, but if it is pertinent to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, include an internal wikilink to it in See Also or in the body of the article, as appropriate. My intention was to provide background for the statement about the Fugitive Slave Act was a motivation for the American escapees to come to Oakville.
