Notability of Steven Trotter[edit]

A tag has been placed on Steven Trotter, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Turlo Lomon 12:48, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hey, I noticed your edit on the Umarov article. Just saw that you are on Wikipedia for the same reason I am. Are you Chechen yourself, or just interested? ForrestSjap 08:03, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will buy it some time soon. I suppose you have already read it but if not, I would recommend Khassan Baiev's the Oath. ForrestSjap 18:14, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TrotterCrest.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:TrotterCrest.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Speedy deletion of Ingush conflict 2007[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ingush conflict 2007, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Spryde 15:07, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Umarov[edit]

Hey man, I have just undone your edit on the Umarov article.[1] Due to the construction of the sentence there remains some confusion as to who made the statement, Umarov or Zakayev (I think you meant Umarov). Another problem is that the statement can not be found in the article used as a reference. If you wish to maintain the info it's gonna need a decent reference. The edit also had some grammar and interpunction issues. Let me know what you think about this. ForrestSjap 13:42, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
