Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes. Play in your user area. For example, create User:Vanduren/test. Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. Old Kingdom queens

Hi,

I've seen your articles on 6th dynasty queens, and just wanted to ask you a few things:

• Please when copying out ancient Egyptian transcriptions from books like Grajetzki's, copy them exactly as they were written. h and ḥ are two entirely different letters in the Egyptian alphabet, as I'm sure you know. I know it's a pain in the behind to type by copypasting each character, but these texts are short anyway :) Also, z and s might have merged later, and became undistinguishable, but that happened later (circa Middle Kingdom), and we're talking about Old Kingdom persons here, so please don't mix z and s.
• When you give a book as a source, please include the bibliographical info (like publisher's name, publishing date etc.) and the page number where the info can be found. For Dodson & Hilton's book you can use the template I made, just write {{dodson}} and it will insert this: Dodson, Aidan; Hilton, Dyan (2004). The Complete Royal Families of Ancient Egypt. London: Thames & Hudson. ISBN 0-500-05128-3..
