Skitača changed to Deceńt Niļ

Skitača was changed to ==Deceńt Niļ== in the first paragraph on April 19, 2015. What does this word mean? The words are not in Croatian alphabet.

Re: Move to verifiable hr title

I meant a title that can be verified in the language 'hr' - Croatian. For example, when I google "Labinscina site:hr", I get 34 hits, and only after I don't let Google correct it to "Labinština", which gives around 10k results. A similar thing happens with a Google Books search, 0 vs 539 results. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 22:35, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

BTW the meaning is the same, but the ć version is probably Chakavian, while the t version is probably Shtokavian. Regardless, the main thing is that readers can verify the one version easily, as opposed to the other one. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 22:37, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Salumeria Biellese requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. When can I Erase this page

Hello, It is all right to erase the information in this page since it has been completed or corrected? Valjean1969 (talk) 23:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi,

I have be working on restaurant related articles and notice this was speedy deleted. I want to take a look at the article to see if it was salvageable. I was not able to find enough sources so I left it in my userspace. Just so you know this is not in the mainspace and will not turn up on a search. If sources are added you can move the page to the main space when ready. Valoem talk contrib 18:01, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for responding! I noticed articles listed on ethnic businesses so I decided to place this very old Italian Deli on a page. As far as more citing for the article I know only one which I can think "slow food NYC" seal of approval. I was going to ask permission to use the seal from the company. I am researching more on this business. Valjean1969 (talk) 21:27, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
I formated the discusssion for you. It does appear from this search that the deli is notable. You can add sources and restore when ready. Valoem talk

Valmazzinghi

Hi, just seen this article on the new pages feed. It looks like there's an article on this topic already under the Croatian name, Koromačno? Would it be better to add a link or possibly change the page into a redirect? I can do that for you if you're not familiar with the procedure. Blythwood (talk) 08:30, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Re-User:Blythwood|Blythwood

The reason I wrote the Valmazzinghi stub is to show readers that this was the name of Koromacno under the Italian government. So when readers are on the page Koromacno and the added / Valmazzinghi they would know it is the same name but different language when they click on Valmazzinghi instead of reading in red (this article does not exist).Valjean1969 (talk) 15:44, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Chapels in Istria County

Hello. I've fixed up Category:Chapels in Istria County as you obviously haven't quite worked out how categories work on Wikipedia. They are not meant to be edited as lists of things, we have list articles for that purpose, such as List of museums in Croatia. Instead, categories are there to automatically organise existing articles, like Category:Museums in Croatia. Have a read of WP:Categorization to learn more. As a general rule, it's probably best to avoid creating new categories whilst you're new, it's good to add articles to categories as it helps people find them, but just stick to existing categories even if you think they're not quite "perfect". A common mistake is to overcatgorise - in general it's better to eg have an article in two broader categories like "Chapels in Croatia" and "Buildings in Istria County" rather than a single narrow one like "Chapels in Istria County". Happy editing! Le Deluge (talk) 16:04, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for you contribution, but the page lacks reliable sources, interwiki, internal links. Please continue your editing.Xx236 (talk) 08:18, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

You have recently edited the page removing the link to the peninsula page, I believe that the link should be restored. Now there are two names of the peniensula, but no link. I believe that the logic of the Wikipedia is different - we link to a detailed page, which lists names in several languages. The page is about the place, not about the region. The beginning (lead) doesn't inform that Koromačno is a hamlet or port, such informations are in the infobox only.
There are many multilingual areas in the world, are they described this way? Is an average reader interested in Italian names? Has such standard been settled?Xx236 (talk) 08:39, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:10, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
