I agree about the weird perspective. In articles that aren't specifically about alternate tunings, the tuning stuff (especially the math) should be relegated to its own section, at least. Polytonality[edit]

Hello. I'm optimistic that we won't fight. Changes are often halfway done on Wikipedia, and I generally don't find them anything to apologize about since I do it myself (I only have internet access at work or the public library and often run short of time).

You may be interested in reading and contributing to the current standards for music related articles on Wikipedia such as:

Wikipedia:WikiProject Music and descendents
Wikipedia:Manual of Style (music)
Wikipedia:Notability (music)

or creating new ones. There is also Portal:Music, which is like the front page but music exclusive.

As far as polytonality goes I do object to the removal of information from articles without reason. I do, however, appreciate your addition of information, especially in that they are cited! (see: Wikipedia:Cite sources) I find one good way to remove information which I feel to be inaccurate, when there is a conflict, is to move the offending material to the talk page (noting such in both edit summaries) and explain how or why it is inaccurate (obviously if the entire article is wrong this is tedious to the point of useless). Which brings me to my last point: please remember to always provide an edit summary.

What citation style are you using? (see Wikipedia:Citing sources)

Some users find that triage is all they have time to do on Wikipedia. For my part, I find my ability to contribute is also lessened when information is removed without cause given, contradiction, or replacement. However, spending time hacking over what article content should be and be like is part of the fun of a collaborative effort. Hyacinth 12:15, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
