Ty Cobb[edit]

Please stop removing valid information from the Ty Cobb article. It is a fact that these portions of his record are in dispute, and removing them is a violation of WP:NPOV. Repeated removal of this information will be treated as vandalism. -Dewelar (talk) 01:44, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been reported at WP:AIV for your continued vandalism to this article. -Dewelar (talk) 02:07, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will report you as well, if you can edit this page so can i, your facts are incorrect, please stop trying to change baseball history. I have also forward this page to the Ty Cobb yahoo site and asked them to join wikipedia

You may feel free to do so. That many of Ty Cobb's statistics are disputed among baseball historians is a fact, and has been thoroughly cited within the article. Removing the information from his article does not change that. If you wish to continue trying to eliminate one side of the dispute, then you are violating WP:NPOV. Leaving the facts in place supports that neutrality. -Dewelar (talk) 02:18, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Ty Cobb, you will be blocked from editing. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:17, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I dont understand why so many try to publish incorrect facts about Cobb, the official record is what it is and you cannot change the facts as much as you would like to do so. No seasoned historian accepts the altered record which you wish to publish....thank you

Currently, the consensus on the article is that the article should discuss the controversy regarding these statistics. If you disagree, you are welcome to discuss that on the talk page, but you aren't going to be allowed to simply force your desired changes into the article, and doing so will result in another, longer block. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:59, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for continued editing against consensus at Ty Cobb. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below. As I said, right now, consensus on the talk page is that the article should discuss the controversy. Wikipedia makes decisions by consensus; in order to change the article, you'll have to persuade the rest of the community that the controversy does not exist. Since reliable sources discuss the controversy, I don't think you're going to succeed in persuading them that the controversy does not exist. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 03:18, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
