Recent edits to Gladys Knight[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Gladys Knight, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 07:36, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 09:13, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In rejecting a pending edit to the article by another editor your edits also got rejected, Sorry. Before re-adding them please consider,

  • is it more interesting that she worked with someone or that she traveled with them (were they on vacation?, would anybody care if they were?)
  • the phrase "to date" isn't up-to-date for long. Will you re-edit the article on a regular basis to ensure it's still "to date"? It's safer to write as if the article will be read in 10 years time. Regards, Bazj (talk) 09:21, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Godmother Of Soul[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Godmother Of Soul. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Patti LaBelle. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Patti LaBelle – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Bazj (talk) 18:23, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

August 2015[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at Godmother Of Soul, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It already has an article for Patti LaBelle. Your article "Godmother Of Soul" expresses your opinion, not an impartial statement of fact. Bazj (talk) 18:25, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Anita Baker. Bazj (talk) 18:49, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

February 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ghmyrtle. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Shirley Caesar, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:45, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
