New article for comments

Hi, thanks for the tip on pics. Apparently I need to be confirmed before I can upload. Anyway no hurry. I just created an article in my user space. When I made the page I was in formed that apparently 3 years ago someone had attempted to create a page on the same subject and it was removed. I thought I had better get an opinion as to whether the subject has gained notability in the intervening years! How do I get opinions on this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: User talk:Kiranh12

User blanked his talkpage. He's at level 4 which included a prior warning for your admonition. ----moreno oso (talk) 14:09, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Blocks are there to protect WP from disruption, not as a punishment. Kiranh12 hasn't recreated either article (yet) so I think blocking them wouldn't be particularly productive. By the way, Twinkle provides a more specific template than the {{uw-tdel}} series - {{uw-speedy1}} through {{uw-speedy4}} address removal of speedy deletion templates specifically (and may be clearer for the naïve user). If you'd think there is a need to place a block, I'd have no objections. Chalk it up to my mop being fresh from the factory, if you like. Bradjamesbrown (talk) 10:16, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

I've been through their contributions since their 1 year block expired. So far not one constructive edit (unless this can be classed as constructive). :-( I think we may be able to do without the "contributions" of Halesowen Community College for another year. Sophie / deletion stuff

A 'courtesy note' to you: the user asked for clarification, so I've tried to respond. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  14:10, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
