Hey,
Why was my new page deleted? This is my friggin favorite game! I even asked the game administrators to verify the information! So it did not contain any false information! If this is my welcome to Wikipedia land...
Okay, it was quite short, but I was going to add content!
Anyway, greetz, me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.11.185.56 (talk • contribs)
- Hi. When you write an article, you should state why the topic is important. Your article begun with "it is a rather small game...", so you should put even more stress to show why it is notable to have its own article. I can restore it if you would like to rewrite it. Regards. --Tone 14:16, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay I'll try working on it later this evening, But please give me a few days (let's say 1 or 2) for me to finish it :p + I've lost the info so please put it back so I can change it.
Many thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.11.178.94 (talk) 20:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC).
- Ok, restored. And I suggest you sign in ;-) --Tone 21:23, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to hear a little more of your reasoning behind deleting this article. To me, it feels like you're intentionally making things more roundabout and difficult overall by organizing things by categories. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.175.97.219 (talk) 21:36, 5 January 2007 (UTC).
- The problem is the criteria of inclusion of an anime on the list. Why is it notable? What is even the criteria? Can you provide references? I guess nobody would oppose that for example Pokemon or Dragon Ball are notable but it quiclky comes to a more slippery terrain. Why not to include this anime if that one is on the list? You see, the consequence would soon be to put all the anime on the list and this is what WP is not, an indiscriminative collection of data. I hope it helps. --Tone 22:08, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Your deletions
[edit]I am here to inquire about your recent mass deletions of images. While all of them should have been deleted, they were deleted very fast, reaching a max of about 19 images per minute! I was wondering how you achieved such a fast deletion rate by hand. Thank you. —Mets501 (talk) 02:57, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Quite easy. Frist, I open many windows in Firefox as tabs, then I check them and then I delete them in a row. Probably I got some practice already :) --Tone 07:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- OK, good, as long as there's no bot involved :-) —Mets501 (talk) 11:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, I wouldn't use a bot for deletion without a prior approval of the community. But it might be useful to have one for other edits, I will read some things about it when I find some time. --Tone 12:29, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Bill Britt
[edit]I am a new wikipedian. I was somewhat slow in adding content to the Bill Britt article and I find it has been deleted. Here are some reasons why this person is notable.
Bill Britt and Dexter Yager are two of the top most distributors in Amway/Quixtar. Britt has above 1 million people in his downline. Proper information about him concerns at least all these people.
He is currently serving as a Presidents Cabinet Representative on the IBOA International Board. http://www.iboai.com/IBOAI-PresidentsCabinet-BillBritt.asp
Britt is mentioned in the Forbes Magazine, December 9, 1991 http://www.amquix.info/forbes_december_9_1991.html
Britt was mentioned in nationally televised news documentary on the Dateline NBC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway#_note-20
The Triangle Business Journal reports a scam involving him. http://triangle.bizjournals.com/triangle/stories/2003/08/11/story1.html
The Burlington Times-News reported about Britt's involvement in fradulent investment schemes, and about his impending separation with his wife.
http://www.amquix.info/forbes_december_9_1991.html
A lawsuit involving him is mentioned in an article in "Time Out". http://www.rickross.com/reference/amway/amway9.html

Hi Tone,
I see you've reverted back edits by 70.128.117.245 on the Jeet Kune Do article. If you look he's real close to violating the Three Revert Rule. Any chance of you blocking him as he's really creating a lot of commotion and unnecessary grief? Thanks FrankWilliams 15:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed. Well, since noone told him anything yet, I left him a notice for now. But if he continues, tell me and I will block him. Regards. --Tone 15:48, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Tone he just changed your edit and I reverted back. Do what you have to do. Thanks FrankWilliams 15:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Now I let him the notice about 3RR. The next violation results in a block. By the way, you can also remind the user next time yourself ;-) --Tone 15:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Tone user 70.128.117.245 still reverting the Jeet Kune Do articles after several more warnings. Please block this guy. BTW: He has also used the IP: 64.149.40.27 Thanks FrankWilliams 01:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Tone, It appears that user 70.128.117.245 who you blocked is at it again as User:Martiallaws with the exact same edits. Please take appropriate action. Thanks FrankWilliams 16:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have protected the article now so that new users and anons are not able to edit it. I'll keep an eye on the article and I suggest you that you contact directly the user who is making disruptive edits and let him know that this is not a nice thing to do ;-) In any case, it's polite to warn him before he gets blocked :-) (I'll let him a notice now but next time you do it, ok?) --Tone 16:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi! Could you explain this edit: [1]? It seems you blocked another IP for 24 hours a few minutes before, but the IP your comment is under has not been blocked... --Tango 17:13, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Funny, probably it's because another admin blocked him at the same time. He's blocked now anyway. --Tone 17:15, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- He hadn't been blocked when I looked at the log. He wasn't blocked until 5 minutes after you left that message. Strange... You don't need to leave a comment when you've blocked a user, anyway, you can just remove them (or these days, leave it and a bot will remove them). --Tango 17:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Feel like deleting a couple pages?
[edit]Hi. You blocked User:Thwrebvebthwr for vandalism. Most of his vandalism has been reverted; but he uploaded a clearly-unfree image, Image:Patrick Swayze.jpg, with no fair-use rational which he used in his vandalism. He also created a userpage for a user that did not have one User:Dstumme. Those probably ought to be deleted. Thanks. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:04, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Erik Voeks article
[edit]Hello Tone: I spent a couple hours creating an Erik Voeks article which you deleted. This was my first attempt at creating an article, and I think an external link I posted in an effort to provide verifiable documentation may have been construed as "blatant advertising." I removed that link and have left nothing but internal wiki links. Now the article is locked. What's the problem?
edit: I also see how I might not have followed protocol be recreating an article which was deleted. Is there a way to get this article reinstated if it meets standards?
Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dukewisdom (talk • contribs) 16:23, 13 January 2007 (UTC).
- Hi. First of all, you should a capitalised letter for the surname also :-) Sometimes it is hard to write an article that reads neutral, I know. Follow the link and try again, if there's any problem, ask me. Regards. --Tone 17:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I was trying to capitalize the surname when I found the article deleted/locked. What link am I to follow? Thanks for your help.
- The one in the title. Sorry, I forgot to put it there... Now I deleted the protected page so you should be able to edit it. --Tone 17:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
This page, which you recently edited on, is constantly getting vandalized by a rival school. Could you please put an edit lock on the page? Rohan 17:35, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. The vandalism is not so heavy as you put it. In the log I don't see more than one vandalism per day in average. So I think the protection is not necessary since we try to avoid protecting the articles in general. For now, let just keep an eye on the article and if the situation aggravates, let me know and I will protect it. Regards. --Tone 22:12, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
I need help, Tone.
[edit]Tone, you left me a message about not deleting Afd's. It was an accident - I was trying to edit my article, Evan Sackett. But since you're an administrator, maybe you can help. I am being attacked by multiple users on wikipedia. Most are requesting deletion of my article. I am working to improve it, cite information, and remove all spam. Please, give me time to fix it. I have worked very hard on this page and it means a lot to me.
I will aslo note that I am the creator of article: Evan Sackett, but I am NOT Sackett himself. Sackett is a local author who I feel deserves a place on Wikipedia. I have the username:Evan Sackett becasue I was trying to create the article. My name is David Johnson. Thanks
- Yeah, sometimes it is hard to convince the other users that a person deserves an article. You see, there are thousands of vanity pages created every day and it takes time to deal with them all. I suggest you enter the deletion discussion (follow the link in the AfD notice) and present your arguments there. It will be the best thing to do. --Tone 22:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Deletion
[edit]Why was the article on Lowkey deleted? He is a popular underground rapper in the United States; there was no reason for deletion. He is more popular than the UK rapper of the same name, and his page remains up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.32.242.209 (talk) 20:55, 20 January 2007 (UTC).
- Ok, restored. If he is more popular than the British rapper, you might want to correct the titles or create redirects. Tell me, if you need help with that. --Tone 21:46, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I actually could use some help editing it; I was trying to make the two a disambiguation, but could not figure out how to. Thanks a lot.
- I fixed the article a bit and added a link from the other rapper and vice versa. I think it's ok now. --Tone 10:03, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Alright, thanks a lot for your help. One more thing I wanted to ask is about linking from one page to another. Lowkey is mentioned on Afroman's wiki page, and I made his name clickable for a link; but the UK artist is the one that comes up when clicked upon. Is there any way to fix that?
- Sure. When you make hyperlinks, the syntaks goes like this: [[the page you want to link|what you see in the text]]. So you just correct all the links and it will work. --Tone 21:31, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Money Magpie deletion
[edit]Hi Tone, you deleted a page I added called Money Magpie (there was a similar page called MoneyMagpie - the correct spelling - which is also gone, but I can't find it in the deletion log). Please can you explain why, and what I need to do to get it reposted? Thanks. Feisty12 22:31, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is that you created an article about a website that doesn't exist yet. So what I suggest you do is to wait until it launches and try to avoid phrases like written to reflect Jasmine's wity and down-to-earth approach to money advice, because this is not an encyclopedic tone. Regards, --Tone 08:26, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi Tone, the MoneyMagpie website is now up and running. Please can you reinstate the MoneyMagpie page (or the Money Magpie page) so I can make the tone changes you suggested? Thanks. Feisty12 10:36, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Plese reconsider your vote to merge Human rights in pre-Saddam Iraq
[edit]Hi Tone,
I've just put a lot of work into improving Human rights in pre-Saddam Iraq so that the article is not now anything like what it was when you voted. I think it may meet your objections to it, so please take another look and see what you think. I'm still not satisfied with the article, but it has roughly the proper scope and many more reliable sources. I think what I've done shows that there's too much material out there to merge this article with anything else. Significant gaps remain and some subjects should have footnotes from more sources, but I think the article is several steps toward what it should be. Best, Noroton 22:31, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
That article badly needs a map, or the reader who is not already intimately familiar with the geography of the Piran bay will have no concrete visual reference to latch on to. Furthermore, your stated reason for deleting the map which was already on the page sounds extremely stupid, since Croatia can point to generalized traditional principles of maritime border demarcation in support of its claim, while Slovenia has to appeal to special circumstances which it argues override generalized traditional principles of maritime border demarcation in this particular case to support its claim -- so the situation between the two countries is not absolutely symmetric. (And even if the situation between the two countries were absolutely symmetric, your "solution" of deleting without offering any practical alternative suggestions is hardly helpful.) AnonMoos 00:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm neither a Croatian nor a Slovenian, nor do I have Croatian or Slovenian connections or family ties. However, I'm afraid called your actions "stupid" because it's extremely inadvisable to throw away the only available freely-licensed map from an article which very very badly needs a map, just because you don't like the wording contained in one caption within the map -- especially since you didn't offer any alternative suggestions at the time. The point of Wikipedia is to collaboratively cooperate to improve things, not to delete everything which doesn't happen to satisfy your preferences 100%.
- But I don't see any reason to have three maps, when the existing situation is pretty clearly covered with one map -- Yellow-colored captions label the areas whose territorial control is undisputed and uncontroversial, while Green-colored captions label the areas which Slovenia wants, and which would be covered by the Drnovšek-Račan agreement, but which Croatia doesn't currently recognize as belonging to Slovenia. If you have an alternative suggestion to offer for the caption "claimed by Slovenia", then by all means offer it, but I think it more or less adequately reflects the current reality, without really fully adopting the position of either side... AnonMoos 13:54, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I don't really see any major problem -- the current map shows both the undisputed areas (yellow captions) and the areas which would be recognized as Slovenian if the agreement came into full force, which it hasn't yet (green captions). AnonMoos 01:07, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Then what is your concrete practical suggestion to change the caption "claimed by Slovenia" to? AnonMoos 10:25, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Menda zaradi vandalizma. Zanimam me, kako je to možno, ker nikoli še nisem prispevala k člankom v Wikipediji.

LP --Tone 09:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
zahvala

Steamcast
[edit]I would like the text of the article for Steamcast I will publish it elsewhere seeing as it is not meeting your standards. Also it appears as though someone is stating that Streamcast is now a media server which it is not. Streamcast is a peer-to-peer system. KXRM
I personally don't mind (even like the photo). It's the artist's call. He created the photo. He probably wanted to have the name of the place there, so he edited the photo (he framed it). I don't think it's become ugly or something like that. If you remove it again, I won't be reverting though. DenizTC 04:30, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
