ArbCom 2019 election voter message
[edit]Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
[edit]Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to [email protected], so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at [email protected].
Thank you!

- News
- A significant number of the new articles received each day are about South Asian topics, mainly biographies and cultural themes, along with the usual spam for companies. There is a huge backlog at the NewPagesFeed and more editors with experience and knowledge of Indian subjects are urgently needed to patrol the pages. If you are already a New Page Reviewer, please help out as much as you can. If you are not, please check out WP:NPP, then take a look at the requirements at WP:NPR and if you feel up to it, apply for the New Page Reviewer right at WP:PERM.
- Kalapani territory has been a subject of edit warring by multiple editors. Kalapani is a disputed area between Nepal and India. The page was fully protected from 10 to 17 November. You're welcomed to patrol the page and keep your eyes on the new editors. Makes sure to assume good faith while editing the page.
- An editor is pushing too high Jain POV in Jainism related articles. Join the conversation about the user at the noticeboard
- India Search Result is a bot-generated page that tracks newly created articles related to India. It is a place to look out for new page pages. The page is updated daily and make sure to add it to your watchlist.

Re:Recent edit to Prince Rupert's drop
[edit]Hello. This was my first edit on wikipedia and I did expected it to be removed for my lack of proper knowledge on editing articles. What would be the proper way for me to add this piece of information? I saw in the same page, there is another Youtube video that was linked under External Links showing how Prince Rupert's drops are made. The video I added, along with a short text addition, was showing how much weight can be applied by an hydraulic press to a Prince Rupert's drop before it breaks. Thank you for your assistance. Pzykotikz (talk) 15:07, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hello and welcome to wikipedia, and also congrats on your first edit. It was good faith removal meaning that the link you provided cannot be regarded as a reliable source. In wikipedia, we seldom add youtube links to verify contents of a article. If you can add other reliable sources then you can add those content in the future. Tolly4bolly 05:35, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
Antham (2016 film) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Antham (2016 film), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Kartikeya Sharma restored
[edit]As a courtesy, this is to notify you that an article you successfully nominated for deletion, Kartikeya Sharma, has been restored to mainspace with new information and sources. You may wish to examine the new version to see if you still have any remaining concerns regarding notability. SilkTork (talk) 10:59, 9 December 2019 (UTC)

"Unconstructive" edit on Golden Triangle (Finland)
[edit]Hello Tolly4bolly, I noticed you rolled back my edit on Golden Triangle (Finland). Although it's not a big deal, "where GDP, population and arable land is done" is a strange use of the word "done" to most English speakers; it makes it seem like that's where the GDP is calculated, or where land is made arable, or something like that. --67.80.164.161 (talk) 00:13, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Reverting Seilern Triptych
[edit]I noticed you reverted an edit on the above page from September. As you appear to be using a tool, you may not have read the context around the word that was changed - having read it the subject in the specific paragraph was the painter and not the painting. I have undone your edit. --Adam Black GB (talk) 06:33, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
