But mind you, the above link provided by Bakaman is as bad and not allowed here -- Lost(talk) 05:45, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine[edit]

I received your message: I think that we all should use better language. The user you indicated has been blocked from editing wikipedia for 2 weeks by Blnguyen. I think that you shall also think over about some of your edits. After all, we are here to do something good, and not fight like fools. --Bhadani 15:34, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine. Looking forward to see some nice edits from you. --Bhadani 18:00, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It saddens me that you feel your patriotism has been questioned. Get used to it (in order to avoid further hurt in life) but always know that being an Indian is a matter decided in your heart and soul, and not by the comments and deeds of others. Rama's arrow 23:39, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I was a kid, I absolutely loved the Tipu Sultan serial. I was shocked and saddened when he died in the final episode - I was too young to understand such things. Not to get political, but I actually think the Marathas made a massive mistake by refusing to support Tipu against the British. It was exactly the type of error that brought foreign rule upon India so many times. Rama's arrow 23:40, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tipu Hero. I must say I was rather dissappointed by your use of language and branding users as "Hindutvaadis" on the Talk:Tipu Sultan. It makes you sound like an anti-Hindu bigot and, qute frankly, a racist. However, I respect your comments here which demonstrate some restraint and civility (though some naivete) on your part.
Bear in mind that, despite our feelings for or against Tipu Sultan, we have to be neutral and dispassionate in our edits and report all things relevent to him. If it turns out that perhaps Tipu was not the great hero that he is portrayed to be, then it is our duty to report any claims to that effect, as well as any counter-claims to that effect. We must not violate WP:NPOV and take a position on either side, for him or against him.
Also, bear in mind that Shivaji, a man also regarded as a great hero (and whose contributions to war, military conquest, statecraft, even poetry and literature were, in my opinion, greater than that of Tipu Sultan) has also been painted as a "savage", "barbarian", "infidel" and even has had (largely refuted) accusations of pedophilia, incest, defenestration, rape, genocide and all other sorts of things levelled against him by many Deobandi and Wahhabi Muslim Fundamentalists and their supporters in the left wing. Do you see us launching attacks against other editors who have reiterated such accusations on wikipedia?
You must not violate WP:NPA in future and please also follow WP:Civility and we'll all do fine.Hkelkar 07:59, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
