Editing[edit]

I went on Wikipedia and changed the inaccurate information and left a footnote to the orinigal beach bill text from the State of Oregon's website. I could not figure out how to ask the person why they deleted my first entry but hopefully they will not delete this one. The Beach Bill text cleary states that the info I put up is correct (Sections 1, 2, and 12). See you tomorrow in class.

The Swan223, you gave us away!! We cannot study a subject effectively if they know they are being studied. Oh well, no biggie.

As we have seen, editing a Wikipedia article is a tricky give and take. I think you are more likely to be successful if you post your information with a reference to back you up. If you can support your editing with a footnote from a reliable website (what makes up reliable is up for interpretation) then your editing should stick. If you want to discuss your opinions, start a discussion with a new heading on the "discussion" tab of the article. Follow the format of the other discussions. Try to be civilized in your comments and never "flame" anyone else (that can be tricky - as with email, no one can hear the tone of your comments - some of my comments were reacted to in anger when I did not intend them to be).
