July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Adam Rock has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bmyspace\.com (links: http://www.myspace.com/theadamrockcompany).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 05:29, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Adam Rock requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Eddie Murphy, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please discontinue adding links to Adam Rock on other pages, unless verifiable sources can be found indicating that Adam Rock was influenced by these individuals. tedder (talk) 05:56, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Just a quick heads up regarding edit summaries - it helps other editors a lot if you can give a brief summary of the changes you've made to an article.

I just spent a few minutes combing through the history of Stephen Fry to see why someone had changed his infobox from "actor" to "comedian", and eventually found it behind your cryptic one-liner "Just remember everyone, the E-mail of the species is much more deadlier then the mail" (if this is a Fry quote that somehow relates to actors and comedians, I'm afraid it's lost on me). For what it's worth, I changed it back to "actor", as this seems more broadly appropriate to the man's work; it's certainly incorrect to use the "influences" section of the comedian template to cite non-comedians. Fire up a thread on Talk:Stephen Fry if you think he's better listed as a comedian. Cheers. --McGeddon (talk) 10:44, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And the same with Nigel Planer. Interesting that this account has surfaced, considering you hid behind anonymity for Planer. The JPStalk to me 10:13, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. [[Category:Disney Legends]][edit]

Thank you for recreating the Disney Legends category. A couple of comments: (1) please remember to use edit summaries as it helps other editors understand why you're doing so many consecutive edits which may appear to be vandalism (especially after your recent blocks); and (2) I am unclear why you removed some categories from some legends such as here. But otherwise great work. Tiggerjay (talk) 16:03, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1) Thanks for not speedy deleting the category like I was afraid would happen, 2) I will remember to use the edit summaries but I don't think they're really important seeing how I have citation to back me up and 3) I removed the Disney People category from the Disney Legends because its appropriate for the Disney Legends category to be under the Disney People category and I felt it'd be innapropriate for someone to be listed under the major category and a sub-category, but correct me if I'm wrong and I'll apologise--The King of Australia (talk) 19:41, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the category, I understand the Disney People one, but the one I referenced was for Roy E Disney - see here. Tiggerjay (talk) 21:11, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to make you aware that this category will shortly be deleted as a recreation of previously deleted content. All recreations of deleted material are liable to immediate deletion as per WP:CSD#G4. Should you wish to contest this past deletion then the proper step in the first instance would be to raise the issue for discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Categories for discussion, with the option to proceed onto a full WP:Deletion Review to gain consensus overturn the prior decision and allow the category to be recreated.

October 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from List of science fiction themes. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Reason: Due to editing patterns, returning to the pages that got him blocked for edit warring and incivility. Eg List of science fiction themes and Disney legends category and pages once categorised therein. Refers to AKR619 in third person, but reverts to that users months old preferred version. See also IP 210.49.251.226 and 220.237.74.225, other blocked sockpuppets. SPI initiated: [[1]]YobMod 11:38, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
