I've nominated The Original Zings of Comedy, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that The Original Zings of Comedy satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Original Zings of Comedy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of The Original Zings of Comedy during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Pascal.Tesson 04:13, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

gBox[edit]

Turns out that Google doesn't own gBox -- must have been some overzealous author drawing the connection. gBox is a separate company that's going to advertise with Google ads, but they're not affiliated with Google at all. See http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/122284/gbox-not-google-has-drmfree-universal-deal.html . I updated a few pages where you had added gBox. Just wanted to give you an update. I don't think there's a word for when Wikipedia corrects someone else... but this site doesn't deserve any credit. The whole "Google owns gBox" thing was a lie that spread very quickly through old and new media alike, but there were a few channels (including Forbes and the AP) that did a little homework and discovered the truth. Most blogs and wikis just regurgitate what they read in the papers, so the problem both spread by and fixed itself. White 720 18:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of GBox[edit]

The article GBox has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced promotional material, no claim of significance or indication of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
