TheOpaqueWalrus Peer Review.[edit]
The article constructed a clear and concise flow of ideas directing the readers from the general variety of Chlorosome shapes and location into mentioning specific components such as CSM proteins and self-assembling ability of Bacteriochlorophyll (BCHl). Additionally, the organization was complemented with objectively and concisely written sentences only providing the reader facts gathered from sources.
The sources used were reliable sources as they were from academic journals. The statements attributed an unbalanced amount of sources, where one source was used once to provide detail of B808-866protein.This citation had no notable impact on the article and perhaps another source could be used to add content this article lacks. Checking on the sources showed them all correctly matching each citation while having no statements uncited as seen in the article.
The content added were relevant providing detail to the existing article such the full name of FAP, the names of the CSM proteins attached to the chlorosome and properties of BCHl. It clearly lacked content as only a few sentences were added without any in depth discussion of main ideas as seen by the addition of typically one sentence complementing an existing sentence. For example, the CSM proteins were briefly mentioned yet more details regarding structural CSM motifs and importance could be found within the citations. Seen in the literature, it focused on ideas such the roles of unique bCHL, baseplate, CSM proteins, and carotenoids. These topics should be discussed to explain their relevant role in affecting Chlorosome function. Discussion of structure components in articles were associated with function and perhaps the adding elaboration of component functions adds depth to the discussion of structure and its impacts on Chlorosome function.
