Alright, have you not seen the hidden notice on all pages that reads "Sort players by Batting Average. Only list players who qualify for batting title until after season ends. On ESPN.com, for the player stats, players whose names are BOLDED indicate that they are eligible for the batting title", especially the part that says "Only list players who qualify for batting title until after season ends." There have been numerous discussions on this subject, and we are only including players who qualify for the batting title. --Ksy9200321:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:DunedinBJlogo.gif
Image:DunedinBJlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot03:24, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
An image or media file, Image:Orlando Magic logo.png, has been removed from your userpage or user talk page because it was licensed as fair use. Wikipedia's fair use policy states that fair use images should only be used in the article namespace. As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy. Feel free, however, to add images and media files licensed under other terms. For more information, see Wikipedia's fair use policy and an accompanying essay on the removal of fair use images. Hello, Tampabay721. You have new messages at Talk:Orlando Magic. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
That way you wont have to keep updating it yourself after every single game and i noticed you haven't done it for a while. When one user updates the standings here, it is updated everywhere the template is placed. Just a suggestion. Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 02:07, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Not a problem. I figured as much, but I thought you may have wanted to save yourself a little work :D. No harm, no foul. Did you see Gomes think he had a homerun today? Priceless! phoenixMourning ( talk/contribs ) 23:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh boy, that's an understatement! The crowd there was a total bore though... it makes it funny when they yell at him. Let's hope for a similar result today... a sweep on the Yankers in the first few games would be fantastic! phoenixMourning ( talk/contribs ) 16:30, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Are you going to the dollar hot dog game tonight? I'll be there, and I'll be putting a hurtin' on em! phoenixMourning ( talk/contribs ) 18:00, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
4/11/08
Yeah, I was in section 304. That's generally "my domain." I did hear the "you suck!" though! We were cracking up... It made me think of the day that the crowd chanted "asshole!" to the ump for calling BJ out on third. I know what you're talking about with the cowbell kid, but I didn't know if he was there that day. I couldn't hear him; guess I was too far out.
I sat right next to the people who (when a guy gets struck out) scream "LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, SITTTDOWN!" as he walks to the dugout. I may go to next Friday's game too... this dollar hot dog deal is a cheap way to fill up while watching the home town heroes! Great game, though. How much are outfield tix? Cuz the seats where I was sitting were cheap as hell ($9) and they were great. phoenixMourning ( talk/contribs ) 14:11, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Seriously? That's a lot of money to be sitting out there in the outfield... 304 is directly above and to the right of where Stats and Migrane do their broadcast. It's cheaper and (in my opinion) the view is great! I'm not sure if I'll go on Friday (vs Sox) to the dollar dog night. Hopefully though, as I ate 10 last time :D. phoenixMourning ( talk/contribs ) 21:39, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Were you both at the home opener this year. I distinctly remember that play! We were sitting in right field next to the ray tank and saw the replay on the tv's in the center field restaurant. We booed that ump for two straight innings man! Classic! Saksjn (talk) 12:50, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Ya, it's definitely pretty cool to see the fans coming out in storm wearing the new stuff and supporting the team. And above all, the purpose of a team is to win, which we're finally doing! I am a fan of vests though. Have a good day, and I hope to see you at a Ray's game someday! Saksjn (talk) 12:48, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
I'm awarding you with the Tireless Contributor Barnstar for all of your hard work on the Tampa Bay Rays page. You're always adding meaningful content without sacrificing quality. Enjoy it man, you've earned it! phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 20:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
ROFL Karlos! It's only the first and second Friday in the month that's dollar dog night I believe. I'll probably end up going though, hopefully. If I go, it'll be at sect. 314 I think phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 23:08, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Alright, well if I see you I'll give you a shout. I have very curly hair... it's like a curly afro. So I shouldn't be hard to miss. Name's Andy by the way. phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 23:17, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Hahaha! Can't beat that... a great win and being mistaken for McLovin. Great night indeed. phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 01:22, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Attendance
As an "outsider looking in" (orig from South Jersey/Philly), I can see the apathy towards sports teams here...until they win their championship. I'm a season ticket holder (303 E 10) and I loved the Rays last year, and they'll always be my AL team (Phillies are #1, though). I'll admit, I didn't go last night, but that's still suspiciously low for a Yanks game. They'll start showing up, though...in August when they're 3 games ahead of the Bosox and the Evil Empire. Sad, but true....
You see the game last night? It was nuts man. They updated the standings and the whole stadium went nuts! Saksjn (talk) 13:01, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm glad Johnny got too play last night. I've been thinking maybe we should rotate him in at right field. He's not a very good fielder, but his hitting makes up for it. Saksjn (talk) 12:56, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm not 100% sure about this, but I'm guessing this user wasn't making legit edits to all these articles that you edit regularly. If I totally screwed up, big apologizes. I know nothing about sports & stats and the like, but it seemed like someone changing scores, etc and removing large amounts of content (not to mention rolling back your edits for no apparent reason) didn't seem quite right. If they were legit edits and are correct, I'll gladly rollback what I undid. Pinkadelica19:07, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Good, I'm glad I didn't screw the pages up. The edits looked pretty suspect and I'm glad to see I wasn't being paranoid. I'll keep an eye on that editor, but I'm guessing this is an isolated incident since their changes didn't stick around too long. Pinkadelica01:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
You best believe I'll be there!! Watching the best team in baseball, after 81 games, beat the Red Sux...nothing like it! I'm a season ticket holder (weekday games only), so stop on by if you're ever around: Sec. 303, Row E, Seat 10. I smell a Rays-Phillies World Series brewing!!!
LOL, good description. That'll be pretty much everyone there, but it's worth a shot. 304's on the 1st base line (technically) while 303's 3rd base. I'm by myself, so when you walk in the 303 entrance (the one next to 301), I'm the guy sitting on the end of the first short row on the immediate left. Can't miss me. It's gonna be fun watching Boston "fans" crying foul and making excuses for losing, like they did last time! EaglesFanInTampa19:49, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
You know, if Percy tries to give me a heart attack one more f'n time, I'm going down there and slugging him...just sayin'! I'm glad to see that we pulled it out, especially with all the tension and pseudo-controversy surrounding "the fight." I almost thought something was gonna happen when that Masterson kid hit Willy with a pitch, but I'm happy to see he just walked it out like a normal human being would. And wtf's up with that storm last night? I was sitting near people who thought it was "cool sound effects" (stupid Bostonians), but when I walked out, it was POURING!
Hi, I would like you to please see this link on the Arena Football League WikiProject talk page. I would like everyone to read this one and the one right after it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I will do my best to answer you in a timely manner. Thank you, Crash Underride05:14, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, that would be great. Also, don't forget to find former AFL players, they may have gone onto the NFL or CFL but they need it too. Crash Underride05:39, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Yo!
Sup man? How goes it? Just dropping by to tell you that I'll be going to the July 18 game against the Blue Jays... dollar hot dog night ;). I won the tickets on TV.. maybe you saw my name :p phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 14:27, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Nah, not the auction, but it was one of those Subway Trivia question things. I called in and was the first person to answer correctly, so I won them! phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 19:26, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Bro... I'm sure you've seen the last 7 games. Bit of a slap in the face, but that comes with being in first place. We just have to roll with the punches. I'm urging you to come out to the Friday July 18 game vs. the Blue Jays. Not only will we be getting free $5 gas cards (not much, but I guess it helps...), but we WILL (we will) stop this losing streak. What a night it'd be, if the Red Sox lost, we'd be back in first! Hot dogs, first place, winning... an awesome night! Let me know if you're going. phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 21:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
AFL stories
Do NOT copy and paste, word for word. That's against WP:Guidelines however, every single game doesn't need a whole page worth of material in just ONE section. Ok? 16:18, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
True, lol. Thank you for helpin' us out, I really appreciate it. It's been really time consuming for me the last two weeks or so to get everything up and running. As you can see by the project directory on the project page, I've been busy, I had to create ALL of those pages, AND all the team templates that are located at the bottom of the directory. So, I'm gonna start taking off every Saturday, so I can catch up on my video game playin'. lol, But once again, thank you for helpin' out. If you know anyone else that is interested in this sorta thing, have them join the project, the more the marier. Crash Underride16:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
WikiProject Arena Football League Newsletter - August 2008
Arena Football League only infoboxes have been created and need to be added to ALL AFL players. This infobox is for active AFL players only. However, this one is for players who retired from the AFL and NOT another league.
A few new templates have been created and added to the appropriate articels, however if you have ideas for a template leave them here.
The assessment function has been added and the count is over 300 articles at the moment.
Articles for the more popular and "star" players of the league need to be expanded, have citations added to them and hopefully we can get some GA's out of them.
All articles on active players and coaches need to be updated with stats, news, and all things important. (Note: For stats it's best to use ArenaFan.)
Also, we NEED to get things done so we can take them off of the to do list.
It was reported by the Philadelphia Daily News that Philadelphia was still in the hunt to host the 2009 ArenaBowl, though it wasn't alone. In fact, interest has been shown by Hawaii to host the event.
Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles down to 0, in due time. The current count is 185, and will probably be growing in the near future. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list is provided in the stub-class category of stub articles that need to be improved, and some should be fairly easy.

Yanks and Sox
Sorry I haven't been on in forever. Summer hits and I'm no longer bored at school. I'm going to the last games against both teams this season. We've actually got tickets for section 105. And how we got them was a miracle. I talked to the cowbell kid and he thanked us for adding him to the page. You going to a game any time soon. I went both sunday and monday. Oh my gosh! Sunday was nuts man!!! Saksjn (talk) 18:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Theres a song that says something was as "certain as the yanks in the playoffs every year." Guess that's out the window. =) Saksjn (talk) 19:09, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Is anyone other than myself workin' on the AFL project? Is it worth puttin' out a newsletter still? I mean this is just pathetic, I can't get anyone to work on the Collaboration of the Month, let alone nominate some. It looks like I'll have to start choosing the article myself. Project members are currently working to decide on a roster template to use on all arena football team pages.
The infobox that is for af2 players only is completed and working well. If anyone notices that colors are not correct, please find the hex code for the proper colors and let me (Crash Underride) know. I have currently place in the closest colors I could find.

It has been confirmed that Pittsburgh is a strong candidate for a new Arena Football League team, along with Boston and South Florida, although there is no timeline on the league's expansion.

DOSTRES
Hey, it's me the guy who changed the Rays article to Manta Rays earlier this year, I just want to let you know, I'm rooting for the Ray. LET'S GO RAYS —Preceding unsigned comment added by DOSTRES (talk • contribs) 23:03, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
DOSTRES- CONGRATULATIONS!
ALright! You guys beat Boston, I'm rooting for the Rays in the WS for two reasons, one, I'm a Mets fan, and I hate the Phillies, and two, you guys deserve it, year after tear, they sucked, and now they come out in 2008 and whooped the sh*t out of the Yankees and Red Sox, soo, LET's GO RAYS! —Preceding unsigned comment added by DOSTRES (talk • contribs) 04:15, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
F'n vandals....
So, you're on here more than me. How do we get Tampa Bay Rays protected? Do we contacts Admins, or how does this work? There's been well over 100 edits in less than 24 hours. I don't know about you, but that would constitute, to me, excessive. (BTW, were you there last night? I forgot to text you and ask) EaglesFanInTampa00:18, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Honestly, I think anything Rays- (and Phils-)related should be blocked until a few days past the WS. That'll keep the friggen heathens at bay. And puking's bad, but you'd have enjoyed every sec. The Commissioner's Trophy's gonna be on display at St. Pete City Hall tomorrow, so I can get go pick for ya, if you want. EaglesFanInTampa00:53, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Arena Football League Newsletter - November 2008
Articles for the more popular and "star" players of the league need to be expanded, have citations added to them and hopefully we can get some GA's out of them.
All articles on active players and coaches need to be updated with stats, news, and all things important. (Note: For stats it's best to use ArenaFan.)
Also, we NEED to get things done so we can take them off of the to do list.
New tables have been added to each team article for coaches. It is broken down into six columns. Column one is for the name of the head coach. Column two is for the coachs tenure there. Column three is the coaches regular season win/loss record (ONLY while with THAT team). Column four is for the coaches post season win/loss record (ONLY while with THAT team). Column five is for the coaches most recent coaching staff (if the coach is no longer there, list the coaches last coaching staff), with years that the coaching staff members have been there, the term coaching staff ONLY applies to Offensive Coordinator (to be listed as OC), Defensive Coordinator (to be listed as DC), Special Teams Coordinator (to be listed as ST Coordinator), Fullbacks coach (to be listed as FB coach), Linebackers Coach (to be listed as LB coach), Offensive line coach (to be listed as OL coach), Defensive line coach (to be listed as DL), Wide receivers Coach (to be listed as WR coach), Defensive backs Coach (to be listed as DB coach). And coach that coaches multiple positions is to be listed as QB / FB coach, with a / between each position. Also, the list should start with Offensive Coordinator, then Defensive Coordinator. Place line break (<br>) after each coaching staff members name, and between coaching positions (should the column become wider than what looks good). Column six is for notes about the head coach during their tenure with that team only. Lastly, be sure not to make the columns too wide, if the column becomes wider than what looks good, place a line break (<br>) in the sentence/note.

Though Chris Vallozzi owns the Florida Firecats, the addition of the Milwaukee Iron in 2009, will in no way affect the Firecats. His older brother Drew, is behind the new Iron franchise.
On October 10, AFL owners approved a nonbinding letter of intent, that called for Los Angeles-based Platinum to invest $100 million into the league. A step that, as it stands, will dramatically alter the financial and managment structure of the two decade old league.
Tiffany Worsham, V.P. of Business Development for af2 has contradicted the claims made by D. J. Daniels, the investor interested in bringing a team back to Macon, Georgia. Claiming that there is "no reason for any optimism." She also went on to say that "serious conversations about the subject ended a few months ago."
Derek Stingley, it was announced, is a candidate for the head coaching position with the Albany Firebirds of af2.
Steve Clary, Jim Guy Tucker two owners of the Arkansas Twisters have decided to forego their shares of the team, as "they both were too busy with their other businesses."
Derek Stingley, has removed himself from the list of candidates for the head coaching position of the af2's Albany Firebirds, as he has "another coaching opportunity closer to his family's home in Baton Rouge, La."

The af2 schedule was released and the league's 10th anniversary season begins on March 20, 2009.
In November, the Louisville Firehave ceased operations as an af2 team. That is, for the 2009 season, atleast as one of the owners of the Fire, Will Wolford, and team General Manager Dave Berryman pitched to the Arena Football League the idea of Louiville joining the AFL.
The AFL announced that the 2009 disperal draft will take place Tuesday, December 2 at 1 p.m. ET. The league also annouced that the free agency period (which was pushed back) will begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, December 4.
December 2, 1984 — Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino breaks the NFL single-season touchdown pass record when he threw his 37th in a 45-34 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He finished the season with 48 touchdown passes.
December 8, 1940 — The Chicago Bears established an NFL record by defeating the Washington Redskins 73-0 in the championship game. Ten Bears players score touchdowns as Chicago won the title before 36,034 in Washington, D.C. Each player received $873.
December 18, 1932 — The Chicago Bears defeated the Portsmouth Spartans 9-0 in a playoff game for the NFL championship after both teams finished the season with six wins. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Wrigley Field, but was moved indoors to Chicago Stadium because of snow and extreme cold. Special ground rules were set up to keep the ball in the middle of the improvised 80-yard long dirt-covered field that was flanked by walls on both sides. (Sounds reminsent of arena football, don't you think?)
December 23, 1972 — Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Oakland Raiders 13-7 in an AFC Divisional Playoff Game when Franco Harris' made, what when down in the history of professional sports as one of the greatest plays of all time, the "Immaculate Reception." It was also the first playoff win in franchise history.

FYI, in case you see something funky on any pages that link from my User page (or even just pages related to Tampa in general) here's the links to read on: ANI and Horologium's talk page (archived).
The gist is, this group of frat boys from TKE got in their heads that Image:Post-and-Grant-Avenue.-Look.jpg would be a good pic to put on Camden, New Jersey, since Camden's fallen on hard times. They've been doing this for months, and tagged themselves "The Network". Frat members from all over the country (and world) use IPs of hotels, internet cafes, and schools, to make sure "the world knows the truth" about Camden. Well, once I started raining on their parade and having page after page they were attacking blocked for 3 months, they started attacking me. So, now, they're attacking pages they know I frequent, based on my user boxes, and what they think I frequent, based on my moniker.
If you see anything on any page I haven't reverted yet, if you could let me or User:Horologium know (or if you're feeling good enough, you can revert it yourself or tell them over at WP:ANI). Wanted to give you a fair heads-up, just in case you start to get attacked. EaglesFanInTampa13:55, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
