Problems with upload of File:Tales photo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Tales photo.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Hello!

I deleted the page because it was promotional material in userspace.

Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopaedia, so if we have an article about some subject, like a book, it should be in article space and it should preferably look like an article to encourage people to contribute to it. If any new page has this kind of promotional material and would have to be basically entirely rewritten to become a plausible article, it's subject to be speedy deleted as spam.

Articles generally should also conform to our notability criteria: Basically, if you have a book published, they should demonstrate that unrelated third parties have covered the book somehow (reviews etc) and that coverage was published in a reliable source. The article language also should be neutral and factual; the page as written took a promotional tone. You may also need to be very careful about writing about subjects where you have a potential conflict of interest.

It also shouldn't be kept in user space. You can use user space for article drafts, but a lot of people seem to come up and stick spam pages there and do nothing else to contribute to the encyclopaedia, so you may easily guess that the community tends to frown on that kind of behaviour.
