Comments[edit]

The article suggests the following notable points:

  • Recording at comdex - see AFD; the notable thing was comdex itself, or at best the event, not the person.
  • Internet cafe - having an internet cafe be a finalist in a yahoo competition is unlikely to be the grounds for an article on the founder, or indeed more than likely on the cafe.
  • "Things he changed in society" - the article claims, popularizing the internet cafe, popularizing american R&B, chasnging the music industry, early pioneer of MPEG-1 use - possibly, if he is genuinely and by widespread acknowledgement in these areas, via reliable sources, credited as the specific one person responsible for it.
  • Turn it Up - possibly, though there is a fair chance someone else might feel we would link to the program not the person ("cover the event not the person"). Depends what the show's standing was and his standing as part of that, in reliable sources.

In all the above, you will have to be sure of facts and claims without exaggeration. Maybe look up what "authoritative others" have said?

Anyhow, best, and hope this helps :)

What I am looking for is media articles to do with

  • the ABC Australia Television Broadcasts of "Turn It Up"
  • Media circa 1994-1996 that supports claims of "popularizing" american R&B in Asia.
  • Any documentation or reference to MPEG work circa 1990-1996.
  • Any other media written about chidiac in the period 1988-current. It needs to be from respected sources, not tabloids please.
