Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 00:27, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Kumar Sangakkara. Thank you. Vanamonde (Talk) 19:53, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

incorrect - check the facts - which one you said wrong? SystemSupport1224 (talk) 08:38, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I said nothing about whether the fact was correct; regardless, it needs to be referenced, as I explained above. Failure to reference material about living people with reliable sources will lead to your being blocked from editing. Please read the links various users have posted here, so this does not happen. Hello, I'm HMSLavender. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Kumar Sangakkara, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 23:37, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
