A tag has been placed on Swissotel Quito, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Re:Deleted Swissotel Quito[edit]

Hi Swissgost. Although it may have not been your intent, your article, "Swissotel Quito", read like an advertisement. Here on Wikipedia, we have a policy in which advertising/spam is speedy deleted per deletion criterion G11. Please note that articles for deletion are judged on their own merit, not in comparison to other articles (See WP:OTHERSTUFF). You are certainly welcome to resubmit the article, but please revise the text so that it complies with the policies and guidelines noted at WP:ADS and WP:MOS; otherwise, you run the risk of having the article deleted again. A tag has been placed on Swissotel Quito, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

The article Swissotel Quito has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Asserts significance, but i don't see independent notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. I've removed the irrelevant and promotional for this. Whether or not it avoids deletion hinges on your ability to show the subject meets our guideline for articles about businesses-- WP:Corp. Please read that carefully. I cannot overemphasize the importance of significant verifiable information from reliable, third party sources, not connected with the subject. Article creation may be different from any writing you've done before or had training in. Carefully review WP:NPOV and the manual of style, as any hint of promotion in the article may tip the scales against keeping it.
