Minneapolis

User:SusanLesch: I, along with several other editors, suggest the following consensus addition to the article:

The city, once dubbed the "flour milling capital of the world", was the industrial center of the Upper Midwest from the 1880s until about the 1930s. Despite a significant shift away from industrial activity, Minneapolis still remains Minnesota’s major economic and cultural center.

I feel like this is appropriate, factual, and has already been agreed to by other editors I have been in contact with (one of them originally added it to the article too). I am going to make this change (with the suggestion you gave already implemented in the text above) to the article. I appreciate your feedback and hope you respect this consensus edit. Thank you for your understanding.

Cheers and Happy editing! ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gooob (talkcontribs) 03:20, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

Consensus should be reached on the article talk page. (It has not been reached for this change.) I will not respond further here. -SusanLesch (talk) 15:05, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

I want to extend my appreciation for the comments you have given on work. It seems to my eyes that the strong and overwhelming consensus on my textual block add is that it is “undue weight” and shall not be added to the article as it is currently written. I will be respecting that outcome. Best of luck to editing in your future~~Gooob Gooob (talk) 16:33, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

Susan, I have taken this issue to AN/I on account of the disruptive editing from these new accounts and strong indications of sock- or meat-puppetry. You can find the discussion here. --Sable232 (talk) 01:03, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Sable232, you handled this beautifully. Thank you! -SusanLesch (talk) 16:21, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
