A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Thanks for the research that you did. Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 18:53, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for "The original Barnstar". I have a problem I need you help with. I uploaded a file to the Pancrazio Buciuni page within the Wilhelm von Gloeden hierarchy with "self-portrait" in the filename of the photo and that self-portrait part needs to be removed because Wilhelm von Gloeden took the photo while teaching Pancrazio "il Moro" Buccini how to use his new large format box camera. I edited and changed the description, but I need your help to change the filename. It seems that all I do is make mistakes because I do so little on wiki's that I don't understand it. I've changed filename of the copy on my computer if you need a correct filename copy. Let me know. Okay? Thanks again! Steven StevenJoelSpeirs (talk) 04:24, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Zippybonzo! Giovanni Dall'Orto in Milan, Italy is a PhD historian that has contributed tons of stuff to Wikipedia and Wikimedia prior to 2003. His Italian website: (La gaya scienza - Site about homosexuality and culture (giovannidallorto.com) in not a secure website and was last updated in 2012, so most likely he's dead now. He had no talk page! I've been downloading his file in Italian auto-translated by Microsoft translate in Edge Chromium on my new Windows 11 HP desktop computer. My point is that everything I have been researching for the past year is already on Wikipedia AND Wikimedia under his former IP address in Italy and has been selectively used by editors at Wikipedia AND Wikimedia without citations... Yet not taken down because??? I don't get it!!! This subject of Gloeden and Plüschow is really f***ed-up, and at every turn of every page and category. Very little was actually uploaded by Giovanni Dall'Orto when he was actually logged-in, and most was just tagging his old IP address. What will it take to get the community to fix all of this mess? I've tried and because I'm a green-horn administrators are reverting my edits and threating me texts citing the policies for being banned. I'm adding this message be the Pancrazio Buciuni talk page I received the barnstar for in hopes that someone will pay attention. StevenJoelSpeirs (talk) 19:58, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed that copyright problem since it is a paraphrase using my own words. I simply cited the source material. Please restore it. StevenJoelSpeirs (talk) 21:59, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted that again as it's a copyright violation AzaToth 22:00, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The encyclopedia is simply a citation. The text is from a WORD file on my computer that I authored myself using some material from Wikipedia not a copy and paste from the encyclopedia and I should not have done that and just have put the [1] and not the name of the encyclopedia in ( ) next to the [1] If you restore it, I will make the changes. I am a genealogist with 40-years-experience and that is my own work. I understand copyright as I am a published author. I simply did not understand Wikipedia's rules, but I do now. Never mind it's not worth it to hassle over it, but that article is missing a lot of information compared to the article on Wilhelm von Gloeden. Have a nice day. StevenJoelSpeirs (talk) 22:15, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
